This deck is definitely a work in progress. I have been looking for a way to abuse cards that care about other cards having the same name. The default is using stuff like Relentless Rats , the more recent Rat Colony , Shadowborn Apostle , or the latest Persistent Petitioners . I opted for a different card to build around, Spy Kit . This card is oddly busted and seems like something that should be in silver border. The deck is going to make people scratch their heads, laugh out loud, and likely tilt when it pulls off it's different tricks.

Odd Removal

The most innocent of my tricks in the removal package. Winnow and Evil Twin turn into removal spells that can kill almost anything on the board. Maelstrom Pulse suddenly becomes a board wipe. The big surprise here though is Eradicate . There are a few ways to Donate my equipped creature, and upon eradicating it, I can remove all non-legends from their deck. This will likely not make me any friends, but how can I pass up such a chance to show the true power of Spy Kit .

Odd Stax

An equipped Spy Kit makes for a mean combination with Cornered Market . It locks out players from playing other non-legends. Again, this isn't something that will win me friends, but it will give me the means to control the board until I find my big finish.

The Big Hits

Bifurcate and Mask of the Mimic turn any of my equipped creatures into major threats.

I chose Jodah, Archmage Eternal as my commander to use his ability to cheat mana costs as a back up for the Spy Kit . I hope the deck plays out like I hope. If you know of any other ways to abuse same name effects, please sound off. I also included Jhoira of the Ghitu to cheat out a few big hitters. Illusions of Grandeur was tossed in to go along with the Harmless Offering and Bazaar Trader as a back up to my back up if it showed up in my hand. The rest of the deck is about finding, protecting, and recurring my Spy Kit . I am sure the deck will need some tuning. Let me know what I can do to improve it.
