Thanks for checking out the deck :)

Eiyros, the Spell Snare is supposed to be Dispel, which I use to defend the combo against counter magic.

Maybe more Dispel? You cant let your opponent resolve a Lightning Bolt when you have the swan in play.. Maybe over Tasigur, the Golden Fang, he seems to be doing his own thing in this deck. Aether Spellbomb could be useful in this deck. If you opponent tries to bolt your swan you can bounce it. You need to replay your swan, but your opponent will not get his Ancestral Recall. Worst case scenario its a draw for

Spellskite is another way to prevent your opponent from getting value from the swan.

Thanks for checking out the deck, guys :)

Spellskite is not a bad idea in this meta. I got rid of it when Kolaghan's Command spiked in popularity. It might be time for a comeback. It does a fantastic job of protecting the swan. And it halts aggro and messes with Affinity.
I do like the Grixis shell though. It fits nicely with Dakmor Salvage and I have another game plan if the combo fails. I'll see if can fit some Skites in there.

I absolutely love this deck. The name itself is worthy of a +1. Consuming Aberration is a possibility for a card choice as a solid beater (and a meat sheild of some kind for your swans), but I think Lab Maniac sounds like a better win condition.

Original Twiddle deck idea isn't yours. Don't be a cunt.

SonOfBaphomet, I'm genuinely not sure what you're referring to. Twiddle is an entirely different deck. Are you sure you're commenting on the right deck?

Sorry for the confusion.

Do you think maybe your original comment was a bit aggressive then?
I can see that, yes, there is a deck which utilizes the same combo. There are probably many. However I didn't know of the specific deck you linked to. How am I being a cunt exactly?

Wasn't this an old Extended deck way back yonder? I've heard of Seismic Swans before. It looks like a lot of fun to play!

Go down to 2 K-command.

benelas16, thanks for checking out the deck :)
You might want to elaborate a bit when you give orders like that ;)

so...there is an insane amount of value with K command but at 3 mana it's not something you want as a four of. Keep your 4 ofs for your 1 and 2 drops. Also 2 seems to be the magic number in everyones list, maybe one in the side.

benelas16, I think you might have a point that 4 Kommands can be to much. Though I wouldn't go down to 2. I think the magic number of 2 is when you're looking at Jund. I'd rather compare this deck to Grixis Control, which most often runs 3 copies :)
Since you're favoring 1 and 2 drops I'm guessing you'd suggest going up to 4 Serum Visions instead? :)

I'm considering building some variant of seismic swans as well. Seismic swans turns on stubborn denial which is great. If you run stubborn, tasigur/angler as a 1 of in the 75 could be good. Blood moon could be a viable Sideboard option to lock them out and bash with birds. Ironically blood moon makes hitting triple red easier too, and there's some decks that just straight lose to it. Blasphemous act wipes the board sans birds, and draws you Thirteen cards! Just some ideas I've been playing with. I'll have a list soon.

What about a legendary eldrazi in the deck that let's you reshuffle your library if it hits the graveyard to make the combo truly infinite.

Did you consider burn spells with damage that can be distributed as you wish?
Forked Bolt, Avacyn's Judgment, Arc Lightning/Flames of the Firebrand, Electrolyze
While they are not popular, they can net you card draw on the swans, and deal damage to relevant targets beside it (also they don't kill the swans - unlike bolt), and can be used to remove multiple creatures with 1 card.

In my humble opinion permanent based draw are nearly always better if you play control.
Also some equipment that gives, hexproof & boost the toughness of of swans would probably make a big difference.

Xica, the damage is prevented so you don't need to worry about killing the swans. Hence, using burn spells you can split wouldn't be a good idea since they're inefficient. It's better to use efficient burn spells and let them double as a draw spell when you have the swans out. It's nice to shoot for 2-for-ones, but this deck has plenty of potential for that already. Besides, I'm sure Rathaelix has considered Electrolyze already, it's pretty much a staple in these tempo type decks.

Curious, why the sideboard Laboratory Maniac? Are there matches it wins?

Also, you might want to cut down to 1-2 Dakmor Salvages. You don't really need to go infinite to get crazy far ahead. I'm not a fan of the card in general. Feels kind of win-more, and it's a liability otherwise. It'll probably lose you more games than it'll win.
