I don't even play EDH and I can appreciate the shenanigans this deck pulls. I love it.
Something from standard to consider: Damnable Pact

mystara - I've had my eye on that card, haha. I'm waiting until I come across a copy that someone wants to pawn off, hopefully. Worst case scenario, order fodder.

Nice deck! It's nice to see people are still innovating in commander, especially on a budget.

It says you have 101 cards. I don't think you need to have Selenia in the list. It counts her from the command zone slot.

CelineT - Good catch. Sometimes the site automatically removes it, sometimes it does not.

I got a Damnable Pact at the DTK prerelease; it essentially became a black Fireball in limited and won me a couple games. I can only imagine the devastation it could cause in a format with copious amounts of mana to blow in the late game.

That my good man is a wonderfull deck to put an Minion of the Wastes and a Phyrexian Processor . They will give you both life drain and huge hiter

ashtaroth - Phyrexian Processor is one of my favorite cards, but it doesn't make the budget (at the moment). The older version sits at around $1.40, and while the duel decks version has a far lower base price - there are almost no actual listings of it without a shipping cost that puts it at equal or greater value to the original.
Minion of the Wastes is a serious consideration. I need to play the deck a bit more and figure out what works accordingly.
In any case, the deck is subject to change so nothing is out of the question. Thanks for the suggestions!

What do you think of Utter End? It gets rid of any problematic permanent...permanently.

your description of it reminded me... what about a Wound Reflection? and a Nevermore? AND A Exclusion Ritual! AND Staff of Nin! and Grand Abolisher so they cant stop you! Bond of Agony and Toxic Deluge. Then again, all this might send you over your budget.

Phaetion - Utter End is .75-1.24, which puts it equal/lower to the median value of Unmake (.89). If the low listings for Utter End stay consistent - it's a definite consideration seeing as how it'd be a direct upgrade.
DERPLING_SUPREMACY - All awesome cards (I love Toxic Deluge myself), but some go over budget.
Over: Toxic Deluge ($9.29), Wound Reflection ($4.48), Grand Abolisher ($3.11)
Higher: Staff of Nin ($.50)
Perfect: Bond of Agony ($.24), Exclusion Ritual ($.05)
As far as usability goes, Exclusion Ritual is a potential. High cost, but a better O-Ring basically. At 6 mana though, I can also cast Merciless Eviction which cases more damage. I'll look into it.
Same goes to Bond of Agony, my hang up is if its better than the currently existing life loss cards. If it turns out I don't require, say, Exsanguinate or Underworld Coinsmith it'd be an auto-include for me.
Staff of Nin is on the higher end of the budget, but is also a good consideration. Underworld Connections, Greed and Bloodgift Demon are my current engines, but I could see potentially dropping a card draw spell for the staff.
tl;dr - Requires more testing and minor tweaking, but awesome suggestions. Thanks guys!

Ah, quick apology. I forgot about Nevermore! Being at about $.15, I'll see if I can find a spot for it. It's a potent shutdown card for my playgroup (even more so with a recent rule change).
Thanks again!

WicKid52 - Death's Shadow is $2.04, which goes far over budget. Appreciate the suggestion, though.
griffstick - Go for it, that's the point!

mage Vizkopa Confessor appears to fit the mechanics while allowing for a thoughtseize effect to stop a counter spell from preventing the next play. Its a bit high cmc, but i think its a bit better than what Orzhov Guildmage provides longterm. That said, youve played the deck out and i havnet for all i know the guildis a bomb
April 14, 2015 1:15 a.m.
jgross18 - It's an honest toss-up about balance. As far as Orzhov Guildmage goes, he is one of the permanent-based cards that can displace my/my opponent's life totals by 1 (extremely important to winning with the deck without Phyrexian Unlife). Vizkopa Confessor has a cool ability along with a life-loss effect, but I'm not sure if its worth it in a 4-way match where my opponents are packing multiple removal/counters/etc. That's why in this particular build I've opted in for multiple recursion pieces, seeing as how my play group is pretty removal-happy.
Anyway, I'll keep your consideration in mind for my next test run. Thanks man!

griffstick - I haven't had a use for Zealous Persecution in my meta, so I probably won't run it for the moment. Regardless, thanks for the suggestion!

with "<" right before the code and ">" right after the code.
there are no spaces between the first part and the arrows.

Would you consider this deck to be budget tribal?
