Games 4 and 5 versus Arahbo, Kaalia otV, Krenko MB —Sept. 19, 2019
While reintroducing a friend to EDH after a 15-year hiatus for him, I had two back to back games with the same group. My friend, playing Arahbo, Roar of the World
, a really nice guy, playing Kaalia of the Vast, and a young kid, playing Krenko, Mob Boss. Both games, by turn six, the Krenko player had an infinite damage combo setup for sacrificing goblin tokens, dealing damage from the death trigger, and then untapping Krenko to tap him again for more goblins in order to repeat the loop. Both were quick games and not much fun for the rest of the table. This was definitely the first time I have ever "suggested" to a player that he might want to find a different group for the next game.
