This is my first time trying to make a competitive deck, I have experience playing Yugioh competitively (went to nats) but I haven't been to any Magic tournies yet. I'm looking to start out with a pretty decent deck. I'm somewhat limited on budget, that's the only reason I'm not running Voice of Resurgence (or Rakdos Control, for that matter).

The idea of this deck is to play like a normal Selesnya Aggro deck, but also have the opportunity to ramp into Kalonian Hydra easily with Gyre Sage and Elvish Mystic. Hydra has synergy with the rest of the deck also because of how it doubles the counters on Scavenging Ooze and Experiment One. Basically, if they don't get rid of it quick they lose. Unflinching Courage seems like it would be really good, and would allow me to start off slow with Mystic/Sage/EOne and stuff while being able to regain the life with a super powerful Hydra/Smiter/Lion/Ooze later.

I'm not entirely sure how sideboards would work in this deck (or in this game :P), I'd be happy to listen to any suggestions for that. If any of my assumptions above or about the build are wrong, please let me know about that, you all probably know more about the meta than I do.
