I made this Selesnya Token Deck to have a deck that not everyone and their mother plays these days in standard. Every game I play, I don't like having what everyone else does, and this is my attempt to go outside that border, and it does pretty well at it. The main weaknesses in this deck include control (blue/white control and mono black sometimes) and early overwhelm (white or red weenies and mono blue at times).
I would consider this deck to be a midranged combo deck. Once you start getting some of the main beat-sticks up and populated (like Advent of the Wurm or Grove of the Guardian with Growing Ranks or Trostani, Selesnya's Voice), the game can grow terrifying for the opponent very fast. In order to get to the midgame though, Voice of Resurgence and Call of the Conclave can hold off some of the earlier-game enemies you might face.
Funnest beginning in the deck:
Turn 1: Land
Turn 2: Land, Sylvan Caryatid
Turn 3: Land, Advent of the Wurm
Turn 4: Land, Scion of Vitu-Ghazi, Populate the Wurm
By turn 4, you can have 2 5/5 Tramples, a 4/4, a 1/1 Flyer, and a 0/3 Defender, which can become very overwhelming for a lot of opponents early on if they don't have Supreme Verdict. (Even more fun is a turn 1 Experiment One that can become a 5/5 by turn 4 as well if you want it in your deck)
The mainboard has 23 cards that can make tokens and 13 cards that can populate.
This deck can make 6 different types of tokens of the following types:
X/X White/Green Elemental, where X is the amount of creatures on the field, 1/1 White Bird w/ Flying, 2/2 White Knight w/ Vigilance, 3/3 Green Centaur, 5/5 Green Wurm w/ Trample, and 8/8 White/Green Elemental w/ Vigilance.
This deck can populate tokens with the following cards:
Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage, Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, Scion of Vitu-Ghazi, Growing Ranks, Sundering Growth, and Rootborn Defenses
ANY input on the deck is going to be greatly appreciated, and I hope to hear from you.
