Selesnya's Aggro Beatdown in Modern

Modern Aggro Competitive GW (Selesnya) Hatebears

iamthetrickmaster

A Selesnya Aggro/ Sub-Hatebear Deck that hits the opponent hard by utilizing the ability, Exalted.

There are a few ways of winning on Turn 4, here's an example:

Turn 1: Any Forest Land + Noble Hierarch

Turn 2: Any Plains Land + Loxodon Smiter

Turn 3: Land + Sublime Archangel then swing using Loxodon Smiter for 8/8 (Noble Hierarch gives +2/+2, Loxodon Smiter gives +1/+1, and Sublime Archangel gives +1/+1).

Turn 4: Land + Noble Hierarch, Sublime Archangel then swing with the first Sublime Archangel with evasion for 16/16 (The two Noble Hierarch gives +6/+6, Loxodon Smiter gives +2/+2, and the two Sublime Archangel +4/+4).

DECK TECH

CREATURES:

Noble Hierarchis the ramp and pump. This card is the foundation of this deck, and without it, this deck would really be lacking pace.

Dryad Militantis the support, and early game aggression. A 2/1 for one G/W mana. It's ability may not always be used, but it can be helpful against control decks that run Snapcaster Magefor flashbacks.

Qasali Pridemagethe artifact / enchantment hate. Also a pump source for your attackers. It's advisable to always leave a land untapped just in case you need to use it's ability.

Thalia, Guardian of Thrabenis the non-creature hate. Delays all non-creature spells, and it doesn't really affect this deck since the highest non-creature spell we have is worth 2 mana, or 3 in Thalia's case.

Gaddoc Teeg is another non-creature hate, but also adds mid-game game non-creature and X mana spells to his hatelist.

Loxodon Smiteris the primary hitter of the deck. A 4/4 for only 3 mana, that can be played as early as Turn 2. This card is the bomb!

Aven Mindcensoris another hatebear, err, I mean hatebird. Keeps your opponent from searching all of this library, has evasion and flash.

Sublime Archangelis the finisher. When she comes out, expect the game to end in the next 1-2 turns. Gives Exalted to every other creature, even the one that already has it, and has evasion!

Thrun, the Last Trollthe last resort. A nightmare for control decks that tries to remove every creature you play.

OTHER SPELLS:

Rancorthe early aggression enchantment that recurs itself. Has great synergy if enchanted to an Exalted creature since it gives that creature trample.

Path to Exileis the best removal white has. Exiles almost anything with a small drawback, but since you're trying to finish the game as early as you can, it won't be much of a problem.

Selesnya Charmis another removal, but mostly use for later games. Can also be a creature or a pump spell, depending on the situation where you'll need it.

LANDS:

Plainsand Forestof course.

Temple Gardenfor every deck that runs G/W.

Sunpetal Groveto accompany those above cards]]

Razorverge Thicketfor an early game mana-fix.

Tectonic Edgefor removing pesky utility lands.

and Inkmoth Nexusfor an alternate win-con.
