Selesnya's Courage (For M14 Gameday)

Standard GW (Selesnya) Midrange

Lycos

Sideboard

So this is what I plan on running for the M14 gameday tournament on the 10th. With the reprinting of Ratchet Bomb I have already been told I shouldn't play it. Well first off this is the only deck I have currently put together for standard and second I'm not really worried about is a much as some might think...Here's why.

1) Yes it will come down and kill my tokens instantly but most will not be running it as a main deck card and there for I have a good chance of taking game 1.

2) I have a lot of sideboard cards vs it and card like it that might give me problems later down the line. If people play them first without anything to sweep then I have cards like Oblivion Ring and Acidic Slime to get rid of them. If not there is always Rootborn Defenses and Pithing Needle to stop them

3) If I know about the Ratchet Bomb to come I will play a little more conservative and hold something back for later in the game.

and finally...

4) I'M STUBBORN! I want to play the deck that I put a lot of work into getting up and running.

Updates Add

I have returned from the M14 Gameday Tourney...

I placed in the top 8 but lost in the quarterfinals.

Round 1:

0-2 Vs Aristocrats

Lost mainly to insane top decks.

Round 2:

2-0 Vs Slivers

Round 3:

2-0 Vs Gruul Aggro

Round 4:

Draw Vs Progenitor Mimic Slivers

Top 8 Bracket

Quarter Finals:

1-2 Vs Boros Humans

Very close all three games

All things considering I was happy with the turn out I did much better than the Dragon Maze Gameday so I'm fine with it.
