Hi there! Well once again I've decided to go the route of token domination. Once Dragon's Maze hit, I saw so much potential for the tokens that Selesnya can produce. Before that I decided to make a deck without using the new cards from Selesnya. Still am since i am posting this on Wednesday. Come friday, this is what it'll become and hopefully it'll work without a hitch.
Now lets make a few things clear. These are cards that I own so far because..well...one card in particular is elusive and expensive and I am not about to shell out the cash for. Fifty bucks for just two cards? That's hard to come by for me at the moment. Once I do get the last two then i will update this deck. You know the cards, Voice of Resurgence. Come M14 this deck will also change because I don't know if the M13 cards that are in this deck will be reprinted. If not, then I am sure there are gonna be some nice things that I can add in. If not, well i am sure i can move some things around. Originally i wanted 3x Wayfaring Temples, 2x Trostani, 2x Armada Wurm, and 3x Voice of Resurgence for creatures. We'll see how that goes.
Now In terms of combos, i thought of a few things you can do that will help you out. Zombie decks aren't a problem so much with this deck. The ones to watch out for are counter-spell decks. Hopefully i can get my hands on more voice of resurgence to make players think twice about playing on my turn. Nothing says "Should I or Shouldn't I?" when you got a 2/2 that has a punishing ability like VoR has. Got a boros reckoner out there wanting to do some punishment? Well Send in a weenie and use Rootborn Defense to keep the damage on you low. Once that turn is done, regain all the life you can with Alive//Well. Just watch out for multiple boros reckoners and Blasphemous act. You're gonna have a ton of tokens on board so they may be able to play blasphemous act for one red. Now you may say "But why not add in some Rest in Peace in your sideboard?" Because Beckon Apparition does something that RIP doesn't do and that produces a token at instant speed. Someone want's to think twice? Well use beckon apparition, fizzle think twice in the graveyard and put out a 1/1 flying spirit. Easy-Peasy, Japan-eze! Everything else I am sure you know what to do.
