I would think it's cause he's a one off, but doesn't the stag need e wit loops to do his job any ways? Either way, after beast within the entire board, does it really matter?

Hey. Love the deck. I've been using one of the budget versions and have a ton of fun with it. I do have 1 quick question for you, is there a reason you aren't playing Rhonas the Indomitable? I know his stats are low compared to the other three-drops, but the second ability seems relevant if you lose Great Oak Guardian. I know you have a lot of experience and time with the deck, so I wanted to know your opinion. Thanks

Kizrakas Polukranos is extremely expensive to kill a single creature of any significant power. But most importantly he cannot kill a linvala, which is what is going to stop your deck.
teacupz Yes, we tested Rhonas and he did not feel very good. We have alternate wincons if we lose great oak guardian (loop beast within, loop stag to kill all the beasts, make infinite beasts, pass turn, swing for lethal, as well as memory jar loops to exile everyone's decks).

teacupz I mean if you need to pump your creatures to attack as a wincon you also have plenty of pump spells to loop next to the alternative wincons asm mentioned.

Gemstone Caverns: Can act as a mox but doesn't have to.
Hickory Woodlot: Acts as ramp, for t2 selvala and turn 3, makes crop rotation a ramp spell t1.
Mouth of Ronom: Gets rid of hate creatures, notably Linvala, Keeper of Silence.
Nykthos: Likely to generate more than one mana during the combo turn.
Wirewood Lodge: Untapping Selvala can generate a lot of mana, turns crop rotation into an untapper during the combo turn.

Nykthos is pretty good if you have to grind as well. Lets you cast your expensive spells/tutors.

From this set, I do think that warrants some testing, any thoughts?

astorlapapa i would say Exploration is probably considered a better choice

meowndabout there is a big difference here, this is exploration with legs and almost the target that we need (I normally like 6 strength), but this enables us:- Extra land drop.- Generate 5 mana.- Draw card.
Im not fully betting on this, but it might require some testing by the grandmasters of this deck :)

Another card you could add to your Maybeboard is Instill Energy

It actually used to be in the deck if you look at the changelog. Its solid, and a nice hit off gwave.

Without hasty attackers from cutting the crossroads, I'm only seeing decking opponents with memory jar on the combo turn as a win. Am I missing any other win cons since update?

AztekSnowman we cut crossroads but added primal command. Command lets us shuffle our yard into library which gives you another easy loop for any card you want. What you would do is draw deck, cast beast within, bounce and replay eternal witness to get primal com back to hand, redraw beast within. You can loop any card like this. The general sequence for winning is beast within all permanents, fight every beast with somberwald stag. Then pass if they havent conceded

You just need ewit/skullwinder to loop cards. Primal command loop is just for memory jar. You can use primal commands second mode + somberwald stag in a loop to make a secondary beast within in case beast got exiled for some reason as well.

Gotcha. And you were finding that winning with hasty creatures distracted from other wincons?
February 3, 2018 9:07 a.m.
No, just crossroads can be an awkward draw early on. Skullwinder can give you the buyback on a gas spell.

For references sake could you please update the maybe board by removing the cards that are currently in the deck? I check back to this list every few months or so and I always do a double take every time I see cards that I have grown to love look like they were sidelined. Please and Thank you.

There still is sorcery speed removal played, ie. board wipes.
Yea the oracle text on Instill Energy is really wonky lol, didn't notice that one.
I still think there is more upside to playing Hall of the Bandit Lord than not.
