It’s not a kill loop, its one way to kill all the beast tokens you create after doing a beast within loop. You are correct that it is not possible to loop mouth of ronom without primal command/scroll rack, as you need a way to put mouth of ronom back in your library.

However it is not needed, you can still kill all the beasts with somberwald stag loops.

Not necessarily. It’s useful for killing Linvala, which is one of the banes of the deck. If that’s not a problem for you in your playgroup/store, you can take it out.

Curious what your meta is, and how the deck would change, if at all, if your meta was drastically different.

how much competitiveness would this deck lose if I were to ONLY take out Chrome Mox, Mana Crypt,Cavern of Souls, Gaea's Cradle?

Titus78 You’ll be fine, you just have fewer ways to play selvala early. You might want to add some other one drops to replace them, otherwise you may find yourself doing nothing t1/2 a bit too often (jeweled amulet, mirri’s guile?). The lands can be replaced with forests and you’ll be fine.

asm could you explain the timing in which you should play any of the low costing high P/T creatures. is it only when you know that can win or what? b/c if you have to constantly sac a creature like you commander if it's the only thing out, or if you are constantly buffing your opponent's creatures then it can be kinda detrimental to your gameplan.

I will play them out whenever is convenient unless theres a drawback (dreadnought/soulgorger), in which case I only cast it when trying to win.

Yes those are fine. That’s what we were running before together with cloudstone.

Titus78 not a fan of lotus cobra, ballista. I’d try to add natural order and eldritch evolution if you can afford them. Cloudstone was cut to make space. The deck can run more combo pieces but I generally find adding more doesn’t help or hurt much since the core of the deck is fattie -> draw spell. I like umbral and staff since they basically just win on the spot.

You can run ballista if you want. I'm not a fan because the deck already has enough wincons, and ballista is on the weakside for removal (very expensive to kill anything above 2 toughness) while also not being able to kill linvala.

Hello. I finally finished building this list. I have a mana crypt, but it is a card I believe to be volatile and would like to sell it. What would you suggest as the best replacement? I was thinking Elvish Spirit Guide. Thoughts? Thank you.

Is memory jar not viable?

Hi, wanted to ask if Kozilek, Butcher of Truth is viable in the deck, as I remember seeing it in Slowvala decklists. Maybe as replacement for Ghalta? Also, is Aluren maindeckable, as I almost always find Selvala getting countered/removed and casting the commander again is difficult.

Another thing is, I have seen the cEDH decklist database. Yisan is listed on the main page, but Selvala is on the Fringe decklist. Why is that so? Granted, both have different playstyles...but why is Selvala still Fringe in your opinion?

I am running Homeward Path in place of Dryad Arbor in view of much Gilded Drake effects in my meta, still deciding if I should keep Dryad and take out a basic forest instead for Homeward Path

Would you mind posting an updated wincon guide :) personally I've kept concordant crossroads in for the hasty kills. Are you just blowing up the board then passing to their empty board? Is there a plan b to play though hate with this method?
