How about Scroll Rack in place of Sensei's Divining Top ? Scroll costs 1 more but its activation allows us to see more cards with the shuffle effect. Wouldn't it be better with the fetchlands?
Thanks!

I used to run rack, but I personally like top better. I find it to fit into the curve better if you need it for selection precombo, but you are welcome to run rack as well.

It costs GGGGGG. If you wanted to pay 6 mana for a giant body, you could play Multani, Maro-Sorcerer .

Trismegistus18 Harpooner is there to kill the things that stop this deck from functioning properly, namely Aven Mindcensor and Linvala, Keeper of Silence . It also has the additional upside of growing to a pretty sizeable fatty for 2cmc if someone wheels or the game gets long. Ouphe is playable but I would swap Scale Up or something else for it. The reason I don’t run it is that it cuts you off some of your best draws (staff/umbral) and I’m generally not interested in slowing my opponents down.

The great henge was just spoiled for eldraine, do you think it would be worth a slot? It looks like you could get it out quick and draw a ton of cards. Might be unnecessarily redundant though

I actually was wondering about The Great Henge as well. Honestly it seems worth a test slot over harmonize in the deck.
September 18, 2019 1:01 p.m.
I like harmonize a fair amount actually. I’m not high on great henge but think it might be playable. It’s very similar to Glimpse of Nature , but sticks around to enable a grind game. I think it’s worth testing but I don’t expect it to be amazing.

asm what do you think of the new card return of the wild speaker do you think its good enough to replace souls majesty?
September 19, 2019 2:15 p.m.
It will definitely go in the deck, but it will not replace Soul’s Majesty. All the draw = power are irreplaceable for now. I will make an update after ELD is fully spoiled.

What are the opinions on Once Upon a Time in here? 2 mana to draw one off the top 5 seems pretty neat
September 27, 2019 7:46 a.m.
2 mana is too expensive for what's relatively limited selection. Only hitting creatures or lands is a very low chance to hit an untapper, and it misses on all of the good gas spells. I don't see it being good enough. Casting it for free on your first turn is OK but fairly marginal.

What about Jeweled amulet instead of Mox diamond, losing the land always gets me into trouble
September 30, 2019 11:06 a.m.
You can run amulet but I don't like it too much. It's similar to lotus petal or ESG where it can get you to casting Selvala on 2 but doesn't really help you much after that. With diamond, you basically just played your land faster at the cost of a card, but it enables more powerful things on turn 1.

How about The Great Henge ? should be easy to cast off of a big power up, get some life/mana everytime it's tapped and a card drawn every time a creature comes in.

Too close to glimpse of nature and I don’t like glimpse of nature. It has an upside of hanging around for grind games. I think it’s worth testing but I don’t believe in it enough to put it in the list without testing.

With the removal of primal command, doesn't it remove a backup wincon (if temur Saber tooth gets killed/exiled)
October 4, 2019 3:16 a.m.
You still have finale of devastation for large X. As long as there are at least 2 non-overlapping ways to win in the deck, I’m not worried about making cuts for better cards. If you like primal command or feel more comfortable with the backup, you can swap one of the flex slots for it.

Old Fogey is fun if your play group allows it, love the flavor. I'm testing Summer Bloom , Krosan Wayfarer and Eater of Days (i know these cards are sorta bad buti like them hehe, but I am playing in a meta that doesn't allow inf combos, so no sabertooth, staff or umbral.
Was wondering if you had any recommendations for deck changes if you can't play those three cards (sabertooth, umbral, staff) so you have to rely on fully storming out without inf mana? In my testing I am still able to pull off turn 3-5 wins consistently, but there could be improvements i am missing.

also i would be very interested to hear your opinions on Gilded Goose and whether Thorn Mammoth is a viable replacement for Somberwald Stag .
October 6, 2019 2:47 a.m.
autompne If you can’t make actual infinite I’m not sure the answer to your question fits within the spirit of that rule and I can’t encourage pubstomping your LGS in any way. However, non-infinite wincons are definitely possible via Craterhoof Behemoth or Finale of Devastation.
Gilded Goose isn’t good enough, but may be fine in a budget build. It’s basically Jeweled Amulet but more expensive to recharge.
I do think Thorn Mammoth is worth testing. It’s very expensive to cast but is a lot more powerful than Stag.
October 6, 2019 3:20 a.m.
Another potential replacement for Somberwald Stag would be Wicked Wolf . Only has 3 power, but 1 mana less. Also you might include Gilded Goose which can create Food for it.
I really do not like Kenrith's Transformation over Song of the Dryads . Song just hits so much more targets

lynden no worries, i was skeptical of ghalta for a while but its been pretty nice midcombo. Homeward path is a fine swap for dryad arbor. My general plan for getting selvala stolen is to tutor out priest of titania or karametra’s acolyte and going off with either of those.
AztekSnowman yea it’s something I should do. The primary wincon in this list is finale of devastation for very large X, which functions similarly to crossroads by giving you very large hasty board. Secondary is beast within loops to blow up the board and pass with infinite beasts.
