The Goal

Be the ultimate beastmaster with Selvala, Heart of the Wilds!

The Backstory

This is the second mono colored deck I'm putting together in response to being tired of getting mana screwed. Or not getting all the the colors of a deck to get it going. This is mostly a budget friendly deck. Selvala is definitely the most expensive card, but other than that your average card cost is about $1.

The Deck

I happened to pull Selvala, Heart of the Wilds in a pack and thought hmm... she might be a good commander. I made sure to give the deck plenty of ramp to get it going fast right out of the gate. If you're lucky maybe you get the perfect opening hand and you can play:

• Turn one: Llanowar Elves or Elvish Mystic.
• Turn two: Play Sol Ring and Explosive Vegetation
• Turn three: you have 8 mana available to you and to play both Selvala and Heroes' Bane.
• Turn four: You're able to activate Heroes' Bane's ability once to make it an 8/8, still having enough to do it a second time, now it's 16/16. Now you activate Selvala, Heart of the Wilds and have 16 mana to activate Heroes' Bane four more times. I'm not sure if you're keeping track at this point but that would be a 256/256 on turn 4. RIP.
• Turn five: Maybe you top deck Kamahl, Fist of Krosa and are able to give your creatures trample.

Obviously this is the perfect scenario, but hey it's fun to imagine.

The Notes

After playing this deck once, I learned haste is very important as you will have a large target on your back. So I've put in Swiftfoot Boots. After one play I'm not sure how some cards are going to work out like Benefactor's Draught. I'm am sure there are probably some cards that would work much better, so please let me know what you think.
