Selvala, Explorer Returned was my very first EDH deck, and is always very solid to play. People tend to ignore her as you give them cards, as you sit there and gain life and ramp into bigger creatures. I went with a life gain theme instead of elf ball or group hug.

I didn't want insta-win cards such as Felidar Sovereign or any others like that though.
