Some notes: This is the iteration of a current decklist that I am running. There are of course many adjustments needed and cards that need to be replaced since it was done on a budget (ie. Rhys the Redeemed would be nice) but it still functions exactly how I want it to. I'm uploading this since I really don't see too much love for Selvala, and wanted to keep track of my own changes for the deck.

On to the deck itself!

Selvala, Explorer Returned is an interesting commander. She has this effect on accelerating the game for everybody with early card draw effects while also producing life gain and nifty mana so you can afford to play that newly drawn card. While not the most powerful commander out there, she certainly packs a lot of flavor and utility. She was certainly fun to build around.

The point of this deck is to have as much control over your own draws as possible and then overrun your opponents. There are plenty of cards to ensure that I know what card I'm going to draw next, such as Courser of Kruphix and Lantern of Insight. Once you can dig for your first creature with cards like Eladamri's Call and Congregation at Dawn, that's when things start to get fun. Grab a Fauna Shaman so you can get whatever creature you need on the field now!

Superstars for this deck have been Priest of Titania, due to her INSANE mana generation. I find myself flooding my hand with elves pretty quickly, and having the mana to cast all of them as well.

Ezuri, Renegade Leader and Mirror Entity serve similar functions, and I find myself using both of them for different occasions.

Joraga Warcaller and Joraga Treespeaker are fantastic cards that use the mana generation to permanently buff my creatures and create more mana generation respectively.

Inherent problems with the deck:- You're gonna be shuffling this deck. A lot. And that's a problem when you have a hundred cards to shuffle.

-There is no spot removal.

-Field wipes can prove to be a problem, but there are tools in here to deal with that, such as Return to the Ranks. Thankfully, this deck does not take very long to get going. Since Selvala is the engine that drives it, just pop her back out and start over.

-Do not forget that every time you Parley, you are allowing your opponents to draw a card. They will not be blind to your shenanigans, and you might become a priority target for them.

-This deck is not for the analysis paralysis prone. There will be times where you need to really plan everything out so you can bring out as many creatures now! Turns can take a long time. Misplays are bound to happen for anybody playing this deck, since so much can be happening at once.
