This is my attempt to build a deck for our homebrew rules. Since we agreed to get more diverse and longer lasting games, we banned tutors of any kind from our decks. Also, Wrath effects and powerhouses like Necropotence and Demonic Consultation are not allowed and other cards will follow, but sadly we can not playtest at the moment... I assume, cuthroat and combo strategies like Kaalia of the Vast and Zur the Enchanter I usually like to play won't be strong. Without the ability to search for combo pieces, they suffer from instability and lack of speed. Zur is generally banned as it basically is a tutor.
More likely are slower matches which is very well in my favor, as I always wanted to give my my first Commander a second chance. Sen Triplets have a very unique effect and with Esper colors, a wide range of control and stax pieces exists to slow down the game until a win can be assembled.

Winning with fast and cuthroat combos is not the plan here, as I wanted to enable more interactive and "stylish" play. This can inlcude combos, but should require pieces which can be used elsewhere in synergies or at least fit into an cryptic and evil esper theme. I really love cards like Bitter Ordeal and Lighthouse Chronologist (:
Another main aspect is theft and steal. Not only dealing with the opponents stuff, but rather controlling, stealing or copying brings us ahead, while everyone else has to deal with their own cards. As tutoring for answers or removal is not possible and boardwipes are not present, they now have to decide, wether to get rid of a stolen creature or remove things like Empress Galina , Grand Arbiter Augustin IV or Propaganda .
As Esper rarely wants to go to combat and Sen Triplets is generally a hate target, Stax pieces become a very important part of this deck. They either keep the opponent from interacting with you or advance your resources.
