NieJacek,
Yeah, we don't tend to fetch many Islands, do we? :-)
Using other fetchlands is a great idea, and one I considered as I was pulling the list together. I went for aesthetics > $ though, and traded for the last two Misty Rainforest just today.
Thanks much though ... if this wasn't kind of a splurge deck from the beginning (e.g., I had no real excuse for special ordering a couple New Phyrexia Forests), I would definitely follow your advice!

Looks good, lucky you I'm only at 44 out of 75 cards for my infect list. Although I am getting 5-6 more of those soon (my 3 remaining Inkmoth Nexus's, 2-3 Might of Old Krosa, and a Viridian Corrupter), I will be buying before long.

Delta-117,
Thanks much! Yeah, I'm getting very close ... I'm hopeful I can play it on a real table sometime next month!

This Friday I'm going to try mine out I guess. Of course I'm having to resort to the likes of Elvish Mystic, over Noble Hierarch at the moment.
And my Breeding Pools I bought I don't know if I will have arrive by Friday and so yeah I might have to temporarily forsake the blue and go mono green and swap Blighted Agent for Ichorclaw Myr and add Rancor.
This is the state of my current infect list that I might give a try this Friday. The cards in the maybeboard I'm getting but I don't think I will have those in time for Fnm. Although it might be better to go and see if I could maybe borrow someone else's deck for the time being.

Most others that show up regularly for modern have about 2 decks so I'm sure I could probably end up borrowing one for the time being. There's an infect/tron player, another infect, there's a Jund/eldrazi and taxes player, an Abzan/Merfolk player, then deathshadow aggro/naya zoo/mono green stompy, another with knightfall?/Eldrazi and taxes, another with mono black devotion, and one other with r/g tron. My lgs I started attending for Fnm is still fairly new in fact it only opened in November of 2015. For modern nights we get about 10-12 people on average which is not at all that bad so far.
Anyways however, last time I tried to use my infect I got crushed by cards such as Monastery Swiftspear, Electrolyze, Lightning Bolt, and Snapcaster Mage, then another time by Path to Exile, Goblin Guide, Reckless Bushwhacker, and Burning-Tree Emissary. However I had one easy game against someone's really, really budget standard deck afterwards. Without hierarchs or inkmoths though, infect is considerably much, much weaker.

Interesting choice, I hadn't ever thought of using Jace for this. He's kind of expensive again however and I don't happen to own any.
By the way have you considered Thought Scour? I was thinking of considering this one instead of Gitaxian Probe.

Delta-117,
Yeah, I happened to happened to have 2x Jace left over from Origins and figured it couldn't hurt anything (except maybe my pride!) to try him out.
I hadn't really looked at Thought Scour, so thanks tons for bringing it up. It's kind of a hard card to evaluate, because it's superb with Become Immense in hand and pretty meh otherwise. So here are my initial thoughts on how it stacks up vs. the other options:
- Surgical Extraction: Low cost, disruption, and information. Almost always useful.
- Serum Visions: Draw + Scry. Always useful.
- Thought Scour (with 4x Become Immense): Draw + Fuel for Delve. Often useful.
- Slip Through Space: Draw + Unblockable. Often useful.
- Thought Scour (with 3x Become Immense or less): Draw + Fuel for Delve. Sometimes useful.
I'll definitely give it a hard look though; thanks again!

Nice list, I'm glad to see another jace user! I don't like the idea of surgical in the main board, only because you need to wait for targets before you can get the information. More blossoming defense have worked for me. The only thing I think is flat out "wrong" with your list is the ceremonious rejection in the sideboard. To get full value out of jace, you want to prioritize spells that are still powerful at sorcery speed, I like deglamer and have found it to be invaluable against lantern while still being functional against other decks. Also I've found that just by how you have to tap often people can slide things past counters, spellpeirce is needed but don't overload on counters.

myLover_,
Yeah, I ran 4x Blossoming Defense for a while. It's a great card for sure.
I'm guessing you don't see a lot of Eldrazi in your meta. If they start popping up, you may want to keep Ceremonious Rejection in mind :-)
By the way, though it obviously doesn't hit Enchantments, if Lantern is a big concern you might consider Natural Obsolescence over Deglamer.
Thanks much for dropping by, and thanks again for trying out Jace!
Draw well!

Best list that I have seen after the Probe ban, well done!
I would like to encourage you to try and find some room for graveyard hate in your sideboard, things like Relic of Progenitus, Grafdigger's Cage, or even Tormod's Crypt. I can see why you wouldn't want Relic because it hurts your Become Immense, but the other two do wonders against decks that utilize their graveyards a lot.

ZackBinks,
Thanks much for the kudos!
That's a great point about Graveyard hate, but for whatever reason there are currently VERY few Graveyard-centric decks in my meta. So even though 1x Grafdigger's Cage is pretty much a staple in Infect sideboards, I've been able to use the slot for other archetypes. I actually have a Cage on order though, in case that changes after GPs Vancouver and Brisbane!
Thanks again!

Have you considered Unravel the Aether over Seal of Primordium?
March 1, 2017 11:35 p.m.
Delta-117,
Yeah, but I haven't seen much Artifact-Graveyard or Enchantment-Graveyard interaction, so I figured Seal of Primordium would generally keep the card out of play longer than Unravel the Aether. If my meta had more Indestructible Artifacts, or if it was more like Standard (with Scrapheap Scroungers and Metalwork Colossuses everywhere), I'd do Unravel for sure :-)
Thanks!

NieJacek,
I like Viridian Corrupter a lot, but I just haven't ever felt the need for it in mainboard. I love the fact it can survive -1/-1 effects on its own and is Bolt-proof with only a Mutagenic Growth. But its 'destroy target artifact' effect isn't that big a deal in my current meta (I don't see a lot of Affinity, plus I think I'm 100% against the deck).
For me, something like a main deck Spellskite is a much better choice. As a blocker and protector, it's great against my more common and tougher match-ups (e.g., Goblins, Jund Shadow, and Grixis Control). Plus of course it's much faster and easier to cast.
All that said, I am finally starting to accept the reality that Infect runs on a slower clock now ... which makes three-drops more palatable in the maindeck. But even with that in mind, I think Wild Defiance would probably take any three-drop slot over Corrupter ... so far, it seems better in more (and tougher) match-ups.
Thanks though!

Hey there clayperce. I threw together an Infect brew that I think is pretty solid. Wanna take a look?

Why is no one playing Thought Scour? My brew is able to run four Become Immense and three Thought Scour.
Thoughts?

AtomicEmpire,
I ran 3x Thought Scour in testing for a bunch of casual matches and found I personally like other options better. I think the bottom line for me is it's amazing with Become Immense in hand, and pretty meh otherwise. I have some other thoughts about the card up in this post (though that was before I actually tested it).
I've seen other people that just LOVE the card though, so I certainly haven't written it off.
Thanks much and I look forward to checking out your deck!

Why not just play Nature's Claim over Seal of Primordium you don't care about them gaining life since you're infect and you can use it on your own permanents against burn in fringe cases.

BigDenny,
You maybe missed this is the Great cards I'm not using and why section: "Nature's Claim: I love the low cost. Too bad it's horrible against Chalice of the Void when X=1."
Thanks though!

473299,
The deck was disappeared, for sure. As the meta shifts around though, it'll be back ... even the small reduction in Death's Shadow decks of the last month or so has given the deck an opening again. And Opt and Shaper's Sanctuary will help as well.
Bottom line: Too fragile and prone to blowouts ... for now.

Why no Larger Than Life? Also, Ichorclaw Myr is an amazing infect creature because any combat tricks that give trample make it a threat regardless of being blocked or not. Have you considered splashing red for combat tricks? You already run Wooded Foothills that could fetch for one. Maybe Stomping grounds to keep up the tutor availability with forests. Temur Battle Rage could be a perfect choice for this deck.
MadPilot says... #1
You can play +1 Windswept Heath and +1 Wooded Foothills for the 2x Misty Rainforest you're missing, it will save you some $$$ and you can fetch with those I mentioned too.
