Eidolon of the Great Revel is fine, it's actually not a 2 drop unless you're suicidal or playing against combo.

If you're running this on a budget (I read as "without fetchlands"), Searing Blaze loses about 50% of its overall effectiveness (and Searing Blood isn't nearly as good) . The reason that Jund burn has been popular is that it gives you access to Destructive Revelry out of the board, which doesn't force you to side out a damage effect for disruption removal, Wear / Tear is.... awkward in RDW.

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone suggest Ash Zealot yet. Isn't Flashback still a thing in Modern? I assume Faithless Looting at least gets run fairly often.

Even if not, Zealots are still a 2/2 Haste + First strike that don't hurt you like the eidolon. Personally I'd side the Eidolon to use in mirror matches and against things like Affinity that like to play out their hand quickly, but I see no reason why Ash Zealot can't be in the same deck as the Eidolon.

Ash Zealot is meh. Few decks play Faithless Looting , but Snapcaster Mage is certainly a thing. The issue is that Goblin Guide is almost always better, and you don't want to rely on their deck to make your cards good.

of course Goblin Guide is better, no one suggested replacing him.

I've found Ash Zealot to be pretty useful in my own RDW builds, though. First strike comes in handy a lot, and Haste is RDW's best friend in general.
