I could never use the ability. Plus 4 mana is way too much.

4 mana in things that aren't even your colours at that. What are the chances of you getting 2 green mana?

Queso, you may want to change your categories around. "Fetches", "Basics" and "Shocks" is kinda annoying to look through when you could just have a category that says "Mana".

I agree with Agent. It should all be listed under Mana. I didn't even know you had basics for quite a long time.

I played with this configuration in the last modern tournament a few days ago. My major problem in most games was mana. You could feel my agony not being able to cast a Boros Charm to finish off my opponent when I only have a Blood Crypt and 2 mountains in play. Played with a Boros Burn opponent and all 3 games are close games, as it usually goes down on who can burn faster. Was able to test it against Death and Taxes (1-2), UR Storm (1-2), and Mono-black Discard (2-1). At the end of the event, it was Boros Burn who took 1st place.

That's weird as those are the strongest match ups and I very very rarely ever have mana issues.

I feel like the issue is that to have all your colors, you need three lands. In the mirror, that means you take more damage from fetchlands and are drawing a fraction less burn spells because they have all their colors on two lands (assuming just RW).

Agent, I have all my colors on a blood crypt and a sacred foundry.

Right. Still, in the mirror they can fetch basics after getting a Sacred Foundry into play, which really hurts your side of the matchup.

That's kind of why I play 3 Blackcleave Cliffs. Opening one means I only need to fetch a shock once to have all my colors out. The only time it's a dead draw is at the point where any land is a dead draw. And I've never really had mana issues in my playtesting.

Atarka's Command really isn't good enough wwhitegoldd. It doesn't really make a huge impact which is sort of the problem with it. I could see 3 damage/Pump Spell for 2 being good but the life gain blocking mode is done by skullcrack with a less restrictive cost.
It's power is in it's options but I don't know if it's enough.
March 5, 2015 11:24 a.m.
Personally, i might replace 1-2 skullcracks with it. It also helps with an alpha strike for attacks. With 1 swiftspear i can create 6 damage, but with a goblin guide and a swiftspear, i can make what was 3 to 9 damage. The green is annoying but it is quite a good card.

It's Skullcrack-plus, just makes you play more green sources. Definitely a four-of.
March 5, 2015 2:51 p.m.
Yeah I can't see how this wouldn't be a 4 of. Burn already splashes green for Destructive Revelry. I'm thinking we're going to be seeing a lot more Naya Burn going forward.

I found this to be more aggro than burn, but it's amazingly fun!+1!

It's burn. It only has 14 creatures, aggro typically has 30.

I just looked at the vid you have front & center, and while I don't have anything against the Talking Heads, outside of the name of the song--this expresses NOTHING of the speed & intensity of Burn..
This on the other hand, is much more fitting.. (Warning: Very explicit lyrics)

After cutting Skullcrack, what's your plan against Kor Firewalker? I guess you can use Shrine of Burning Rage, however that's spending two turns and dealing no damage to the player.

Tasigur is also able to give back cards in your yard, move your deck, and is yes a goyf beater. Thats not bad to have even for burn imo. It also helps you be aggresive with his 4/5 body or defensive if need be
