200th upvote! Seriously though, this is my go-to netdeck when I want to play burn, it is awesome.

Is Fulminator Mage better than Molten Rain? It doesn't have the 2 damage stuck on it, but it's an extra threat, and you can blow up land at instant speed. If they leave the 2/2 alive, it will bite them, and if you leave it back to block, you can negate some damage a lot of the time.

Yes it is, it will do two critical damage, AND destroy a land every time. Fulminator mage won't deal the damage if you must destroy the land when you play it.

Why not just save yourself the money, and just buy Timely Reinforcements? It will win every game that it resolves in, and it's way cheaper.

This is one of the greatest decks I've seen on this site. Also, The Talking Heads. +1 amigo

This is the deck I play at my local shop. I've gone undefeated for the last 2 mos with it. Last night I had one of the worst days ever with it and I still won. Burn is such a great deck. My side board is a bit different and I run 4x Helix and 4x Searing Blaze instead of Skullcrack and I only run 1 Lavamancer

Yeah, it is a very good deck. Helix and blaze both make sense as four-ofs if your meta is aggro heavy.

I have this 60 built with a different side, stomps my meta. Easy cheesy credit, thank you based quesobueno

Why no Vexing Devil?

quesobueno123 says... #14

Because you never will get the option you want, and it sucks after turn 1.

having a 4/3 is almost, if not as, good as dealing four damage. think about it, if your playing control having a one drop 4/3 can be devastating to them.

Deckmonster99 was an asshole

Vexing Devil is aite, but its been replaced by other better cards. For example, 8 Skullcrack's.

Femme_Fatale says... #18

Control is non-existent in the meta. And as an important rule in magic, never play cards that give your opponent a choice. That choice will always be your least favourable.

What happens if you topdeck devil when they are at 3?

I think that 3x Sacred Foundry would be better only because Kor Firewalker costs double white. Say you get a Molten Rain to one in the mirror. Suddenly, you're praying for a Lightning Helix and if it doesn't come up it's likely that you lose. I just think that the firewalker is too important in the mirror and it's not worth the risk of losing him so easily.
