How do you feel about potentially running the 5 swords and Iona in the deck?

Kynical, thanks for checking out the deck. I prefer to keep this more of an Enchantress style deck,The swords are all artifacts if I'm not mistaken, so it takes away from my card drawing abilities I have built in with the enchantments. I have most of my badass angels including Iona, Shield of Emeria in my Kaalia of the Vast deck. Though I have pulled her out from time to time because it usually seems like kinda a dick move to play her, especially against mono Color EDH Decks. I prefer to play a beatdown style of deck, not so much of a control player these days.

Actually, I have removed all angels from this deck aside from Sigarda, Host of Herons and replaced them with other hexproof creatures or enchantments. I guess I need to update my list a bit. I am running it a bit more as a mana ramp, Sigarda enchanted commander beatdown with hexproof creatures as backup startegy lately.

Yeah, I was just wondering what you thought about them because running them + Iona would be a pretty dick move if you're able to get them onto the field. I was looking at Sigarda for my next commander deck because I really like Sigarda and Avacyn lore wise and Seles would allow me to put both of them into the deck like you did.

TheTindell179 Thanks for checking out my build and for the upvote. I'll agree with you that Selesbians rolls off the tongue a bit better, but for some reason I just feel like Selesnyabians is funnier. Either way I have always gotten a few good laughs out of my opponents when I drop a Selesbia charm Selesnya Charm or Trostani, Selesnya's Voice Selesnyabiya! Cheers Mate!

Kynical I totally agree that The Angel lore is Awesome. I have always been a fan of the Angels In MTG. My Second Fav deck is my Kaalia build! I usually only play with friends these days, not in tournament play so much anymore, so I try to go for a fair fight sort of game. which is why I took Out Iona And Avacy. Im sure You could run Sigarda, Host of Herons as commander and go heavy on the angels/artifact/equip side of it and probably do just fine. I chose to go with enchantments on hexproof and card draw mostly because of my Modern Boggles deck that I used to run. I had a lot of success with that, and I wanted to use that same concept here. Let me know if you build up an Artifact/equip version of this build, I would love to see it!!

Well, I think "selesbians" is a better word to the title x)

Sunbond and Dawnbringer Charioteers is a really fun combo to run in a deck like this. Sure he doesn't have hexproof, but I am sure you can find a way to give it to him which would just make him even more powerful!

MrBronson, LordNazahn, thank you guys for checking out the build and for the votes! This deck is fun to play, it's kinda my baby.

(upvoted) Hi, this list is great and I'll be getting the cards to play with it soon but, I have 2 questions. Greater auramancy stops you from enchanting an already enchanted creature right? also nimble mongoose too right?

Cierzos, thanks for the upvote! As Far as your questions are concerned, Shroud/Hexproof/and "can't be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control" are all the same. So even though Greater Auramancy gives your creatures shroud, You can still enchant them or target them with whatever You want. Your opponents cannot! I'm glad you want to build this deck, I personally live playing it, and would like to see what you do with it! Keep me informed, and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

BotaNickill : Sadly, no.
From the Magic the Gathering rules :
702.18. Shroud
702.18a. Shroud is a static ability. "Shroud" means "This permanent or player can't be the target of spells or abilities."
702.18b. Multiple instances of shroud on the same permanent or player are redundant.
702.11. Hexproof
702.11a Hexproof is a static ability.
702.11b Hexproof on a permanent means This permanent cant be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control.
702.11c Hexproof on a player means You cant be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control.
702.11d Multiple instances of hexproof on the same permanent or player are redundant.
Sadly.

Karzalar, thanks for setting the record straight. I did not realize you can't target your own shrouded creatures, I thought it was just one of those old txts that had evolved over the years. I guess my old Autumn Willow should have clued me in tho! (Although they show a new one on the image that says "shroud", while mine says "cannot be the target of spells or effects") Wellp, Learn something new everyday I Spose. Thanks Man!
sorry for the misinformation Cierzos

Nice man Thanks! Any other suggestions or things I might have missed?
September 8, 2017 11:31 a.m.
Well, since you've got only ONE artifact in the whole deck, why not try to run Stony Silence? It'll hurt more opponents than yourself.
Maybe a Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury for token generation, mana ramp, and artifact/enchantment destruction on a stick? (Plus the card draw!)
Also, i can't stress enough taking Bower Passage. It literally gives unblockable to all of your flyers.

Right on man, I think I have a Stony Silence around here somewhere, I'll think on it, I'm not big into Control these days, but the other 2 cards I don't have, I like the Bower Passage, I will try to find one of those for sure. Well, I've been comparing our 2 decks off and on all day, and one thing that comes to mind is Why don't you run Fetch Lands? I get it if It's a cost thing, but they are so amazing for thinning out the deck and pulling the lands you want. Just curious. Thanks again for the suggestions!

How about a Choke on the side? Always amusing to shut down a mono-blue player with a single card.
