I wanted to run a commander deck with all the ninjas (changelings excluded). My first thought was that shadows would be awesome to trigger ninjutsu, but the problem is that they tend to leave me completely open and accomplish nearly nothing if I have no ninjas in hand. There are still a couple hanging around, but for the most part I've found better options.

The first commander I tried was Vela the Night-Clad , but she turned out to be too pricey for her effect. If they weren't getting through with all the other evasion, Intimidate just didn't make the difference.

Next was Sygg, River Cutthroat , and he did alright, but the triggers are a pain to remember, and getting to three was surprisingly hard to do consistently.

Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow was a complete game-changer for the deck. Consistent card advantage and damage from the command zone completely blows Sygg out of the water. He doesn't even belong in the 99.
