We love casting spells. Legalize Nuclear Bombs!

This deck for Feather the Redeemed, (which I'd rank an 8 - 8.5, maybe even a 9) is a very compact multi-tool of victory that can win in unexpected ways. So long as you have a card in your opening hand that says "Draw a card," it is very hard to lose. It doesn't play like your average Boros deck, in that it actually wins consistently without touching combat.

ALL OF YOUR SPELLS TARGET ONE OF YOUR CREATURES. NEVER ONE UNDER AN OPPONENT'S CONTROL.

  • The way I play it, taking damage to your own HP pool is preferable to blocking with a creature unless you can give it protection.
  • Drawing cards is essential to winning here, and with spell multipliers like Zada, you can get weird with it.
  • Tokens aren't actually a grand army, rather, they act as spell multipliers most of the time.
  • Combat isn't something you need to do, and many times, isn't something you'd want to do.
  • Use spells and abilities to attack opponent's HP directly. Mostly ignore their field, this is a player removal deck, not a creature removal deck.
  • If you like combat though, it can voltron or go wide, or it can deliver lethal non-combat damage to the entire table with disgusting effectiveness.
  • whichever avenue you figure out the win, Feather and her friends will reward you greatly for casting spells on creatures you control on everyone's turn, every turn. Feather can take an Expedite and your last red mana, and give you back 5 mana and a card in hand... or 20 cards in hand from that 1 mana. Cast spells and find out. Through my time filing it down into the monster it is, I've come to one gleaming goal: "I want to beat my opponents on their own turn before they can draw a card." So if you want a messed up, down dirty Boros B!tch, This deck may be worth checking out. She legitimately doesn't care whose turn it is or what a draw step is. IF FEATHER IS ON THE FIELD, SHE IS A PROBLEM. But don't use her as an attacker unless you're sure she won't get removed.

Some synergies worth noting for fun and profit:

It's worth noting that almost every card in the deck has at least one other card that does the same thing if not a very similar thing. With this in mind, when you see Mirrorwing Dragon, it is interchangeable with Zada, Hedron Grinder, Expedite with any other card that says "draw a card", Birgi with Urabrask, and Monastery Mentor with Young Pyromancer. Whenever possible, pair Mirrorwing Dragon with Monastery Mentor or Young Pyromancer to make a dude before copying the spell. Also, You'll notice Mirrorwing Dragon/Zada, Hedron Grinder pops up a lot... When you get spells back every turn, It's nice to make them work better. Why draw 1 card when you could draw 25 for 1 mana? Draw into a reliquary tower before your turn and you're laughing all the way to the bank.
