Do not look at me, for I am only a lowly draft.

Shadowborn Apostle. Relentless Rats. Persistent Petitioners. What do they all have in common? They're a little silly, and a fun theme/tribe to build around and bend the rules of EDH with.

The objective of the deck is to get as many Shadowborn Apostles on the field as possible and use them to do nasty things, most notably to cheat out some big boys, such as Rune-Scarred Demon and Harvester of Souls. Cabal Archon, Profane Prayers, and Skirsdag Flayer take a bit of advantage of the Human Cleric theme, and of course there's plenty of good ol' black staples like Liliana of the Dark Realms and some nice tutors.

Skullclamp, gravepact, Dictate of Erebos, and Black Market take advantage of the large number of cheap creatures to sacrifice for card advantage or board control. Creatures which are easy to recur thanks to the Commander, Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker! So long as she is on the field, you can sacrifice away and will always have fresh blood.

I'm a Johnny, so I had to toss Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank in there just in case, but that's not the point. The point is to swing with big beefy demon boys, get out 30 Shadowborn Apostles with Thrumming Stone and swinging with them, or use them for a variety of draw triggers.

As it stands, the deck is very vulnerable to boardwipes. I would appreciate some advice on board protection in mono-black, as I'm not very experienced in the color, or if there are any cool new black cards from the past few sets that I'm not aware of.
