Trying to see if I can make a decent, ultra-budget ($50-100) Death's Shadow deck for legacy.

My thought is that Death Wish is a great way to cut your life total while giving you any card you need -- so there's one copy of all the most essential cards as well as decent answers to a variety of threats.

The other thought is that if you are cycling Street Wraith and maybe discarding Faerie Macabre, casting Dark Ritual and whatnot, maybe Gurmag Angler could work as well, giving you some insurance against Chalice of the Void on 1, Lightning Bolt, Fatal Push, and so on.
