Shahrazad's Doomsday

Legacy* WUB (Esper)

This is not a deck I originally made but I really liked how it was done as Shahrazad seems like a fun card to use. Link to the original creation below. https://www.coolstuffinc.com/a/andrewwilson-031114-shahrazad-doomsday

To win with this deck a little preparation is in order. First you must have a Penance out on the field before you start the Doomsday Combo as you will need it to put the extra cards from your hand back on top of your library. Second we must make sure we have at least 3 sources of Swamp and 2 sources of Plains so we can cast both Doomsday and Shahrazad in the same turn. After casting Doomsday, the five cards we need are 1x Scrubland/Swamp, 1x Scheming Symmetry, and 3x Archive Trap. After casting Doomsday, use Penance to put the remaining 3 cards in your hand back on top of your library (which should be 8 cards now). After your library is setup your ready to cast Shahrazad. Once the mini game starts it should pretty much be over by the first turn if you had your cards right. (60 deck cards - 7 hand cards = 53 cards at start, - 7 turns passed = 46 Deck cards remaining - 7 hand cards at the start of the mini game = 39 cards remaining). Win the mini game, return to the real game, your library is the same 8 cards you choose with the doomsday and your opponents will still be at 39, then win again to end the match for good.

Temple Bell should help draw cards in the hand and enable you to discard the combo pieces if they are stuck in your hand and your over maximum hand size, otherwise just use penance to put them back on top. Souls of the Faultless can be used to redirect heavy attack damage and Wall of Omens can provide both a draw and a blocker for cheap early game. Temple Bell makes your opponent draw as well, decreasing the turn wait for the Doomsday combo to go off. You can early combo Scheming Symmetry, Temple Bell, And Archive Trap if you get these cards early game to immediately get your opponents library below 46, grab a combo piece, and draw it. Upside to early casting Archive trap is that we make sure it is in the grave for Doomsday and we can remove the seven turn wait timer on the combo from natural draws.
