You might want to add Pyromancer Ascension as a back up combo.

Shoot!
I hadn't realized that so many of these good draw spells were illegal in modern, however I should be able to find some nice cards in the article you shared with me Figag. I'm actually really glad that you guys pointed that out to me before I ordered some of these cards - I'll try to remember to check the legality of my decks in the future. I'm sad though; Ponder is just such a good card!
I'll get over it though. Pyromancer Ascension looks promising, however it is a two drop enchantment so I have to playtest it to see if it's worth the risk of not being able to untap my Blistercoil Weird when I cast it.
Thanks for all the comments and support!

Okay, so I like where you're taking this, but it also looks like you need to test it a bit more. I suppose it ultimately comes down to playstyle, but I have always been an advocate of dropping Serum Powder - sometimes it isn't relevant. And if you do run it, it seems odd to only run two? Like Leylines, it seems odd to run less than four (main or sideboard - but generally not both, if at all ever in the side). I also think you should test more with Pyromancer Ascension before you go in on it. It took me a lot of time to even realise the deck could pull it off, and then more time to figure out how to sculpt the rest of my deck to better take advantage of it.
I would also like to persuade you away from running any number of basic mountains; it's very important to be able to find the Weird or the Mantle if your hand is very good, otherwise. Maybe Steam Vents, but try to keep all your lands blue.

I've been unsure of how many copies of Serum Powder I should use, being that it can help me dig for my combo early on, however is complete junk later on. I've found that with 2 copies I usually don't draw it in my opening hand, however with 4 it just clogs up my deck. For this reason I took out a copy of Pyromancer Ascension so I could meet in the middle with 3 copies. The Ascension, like Serum Powder, is junk after I get my first copy and isn't entirely necessary to pull off my combo. It is, however, a sweet luxury that prevents me from ever running out of fuel, so I figured that 1 copy was appropriate. I usually find it while I'm combo-ing off and that's when it's most helpful anyways.

Here's a list I found
Another version of the deck, you might find something worth running on it. It's a very cool combo though. Definitely an interesting take on storm.
