Our playgroup decided to stop following all the new sets of WotC and keep playing with all sets we bought until the pandemic broke out.

The last set we decided on being legal for our decks would be Theros Beyond Death.

Please don't suggest newer cards, as they are not going to be added.

I still consider any good card from any set before that release.

"Sharing is Caring" probably began since the dawn of time. From our history records at we can find some sort of written documents from the ancient Rome and its' orgies.

This deck has been created with the intention to let the opposing people play their game. I do not want to lose friends, so all aggressive cards like Aggressive Mining have been left out. I want to give away stuff and let the rest do 'slightly' their thing. Meanwhile I generate a moderate amount of tokens, which can recover again easily after boardwipes. Using lots of enchantment based removal to clear the way for my token army. The enchantments can be donated away for the valuable Zedruu trigger; double duty, double the gains!

Caring Combo's:

1.) Cast Illusions of Grandeur to gain 20 life

2.) Donate it away

3.) Oblivion Ring the grandeur to lose them 20 life

4.) Capsize the O-Ring with buyback.

5.) Return the O-ring and Capsize back to your hand and Grandeur to the battlefield under your control, gainging you 20 life again.

Rinse and repeat these steps...

1.) Aetherflux Reservoir

Cast it after your lifecount goes through the roof to goat an opponent off the field.

Greetings!

After the pandemic winter, we are finally able to play some kitchen table magic once again. I always had great joy piloting this goat deck with a heavy token/enchantment approach.

Just to get familiar with my cards again, I went over my list and made some small changes. Just because I felt that the three cards that I had in mind needed a slot.

So I removed:

  • Ajani, Strength of the Pride : It wasnt lacking, but it wasn't that superb was well. Easy cut.
  • Finale of Glory : I had some great plays with this card. But effectively its a 12 mana card and most of the time it stayed in my hand waiting for that play.
  • Jeskai Ascendancy : Underwhelming to say the least. Just way too conditional and an easy swap out.

The three new additions:

  • Archangel of Thune : I have it already for so long and having this heavy token commitment, I felt that it deserves a spot. With lifelink being a good support feature.
  • Hanna, Ship's Navigator : Interesting pick for my heavy enchantment approach. Interesting to see if I need an extra recursion. But glad to try this one out.
  • Leyline of Anticipation : What a powerhouse for this deck. Playing my enchantment removal on instant speed. Yes baby!

Let me know your thoughts or suggestions. Love to read them :-)

Go Magic once again!
