I think, that the Ruins are worth it in multiplayer. Dont you think so, too?But i play also with nine fetches + all three original duals.

I don't run that many color fixing so colorless land has to be very good for me to use. I haven't found ruin being helpful, can't remember when was last time I activated its ability. If you have chance and test it out find different experience please let me know.

Hey, i see that you only run 33 lands. What is your experience with that number ?In my list i am testing 35 lands with an Maze of Ith. but i cant tell at the moment if it works best for me. Today i ordered the last cards. when i did more playtesting, i get back to you.
kind regards from germany and as always thank you very much for your support.

I think 33 is alright, since I aim to win in first 5 turns, the extra lands do nothing for me. I often stuck at 3 or 4 lands, however, with enough artifact ramps I would be able to pull off the combos anyway. I would like go to 34 lands but currently have no idea what to cut, plus I want to include Pull from Tomorrow....

dear oo7x7oo,what card would you take out for unwinding clock if any, because i know that it would work pretty well in this deck.
June 5, 2017 11:32 p.m.
Hi crabtrp202. I think Unwinding Clock is not easy to utilize in my deck, but you may cut another value card like Yawgmoth's Will or Fact or Fiction. Considering you may want to have more instants with addition of Unwinding Clock, I would choose Yawgmoth's Will to replace first.

oh, and also how do you feel about taking out crystal vain for a reliquary tower
June 10, 2017 1:54 p.m.
Reliquary Tower is irrelevant in this deck. There is almost no time that my hand size matters (sometimes discard is good). I don't recommend the swap.

This deck is complete awesome-sauce. Your opponents must hate you lol. I think I'm going to build a budget version of this.

By the way, could you explain the Sharuum the Hegemon + Workhorse + Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector combo? I'm having a hard time figuring this one out.
June 21, 2017 6:59 a.m.
NV_1980, thanks for your comments. The combo is not simple because of the stack. The combo starts with Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector on the battlefield, if you have Workhorse on the battlefield then you take off all the counters for mana and let it go to graveyard and then cast the commander. When Sharuum hits the battlefield there will be 2 triggers, Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector and Sharuum triggers (note 1), you want to stack so that Sharuum's ability return Workhorse from the graveyard first.
When Workhorse returns to the battlefield it will trigger Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector again, you can take off all the counters on Workhorse to let it die again and have 4 mana in the pool, spend 2 to create a token of Workhorse. Then let Sharuum copy trigger (from note 1) resolve by paying with the 2 leftover mana. Once the copy comes in you sacrifice the REAL Sharuum (go to graveyard) and have the token Sharuum ETB ability bring back commander from graveyard. Then Sharuum comes back onto the battlefield you are back to the same loop netting 1 Workhorse token with 4 counters. So you can end up with infinite Workhorses and infinite mana, which gives you the ability to return all artifacts from your graveyard. Please let me know if this is too long and confusing.

Lol, it IS long but I think I understand what you're saying. If it's ok with you, I want to use numbered steps to describe exactly what happens (mostly because it helps me understand this stuff better and I was sorta angry with myself the whole day for not getting this haha). So to reiterate:
You need Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector on the table + enough mana resources to generate :
- Use Workhorse's mana ability to remove all +1/+1 counters to add 4 colorless mana to your mana pool.
- Workhorse dies.
- Summon Sharuum the Hegemon (use the colorless mana generated in step 1). As Sharuum enters the battlefield, the Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector trigger and Sharuum's ETB triggers are put on the stack (Sharuum's on top).
- Sharuum's ETB resolves, allowing for Workhorse to enter the battlefield.
- Workhorse enters the battlefield, triggering Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector again.
- Use Workhorse's mana ability to remove all +1/+1 counters to add four colorless mana to your mana pool.
- Workhorse dies.
- The Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector trigger for Workhorse resolves. Spend two colorless to create a copy of Workhorse.
- The Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector trigger for Sharuum resolves. Spend two colorless to create a copy of Sharuum the Hegemon.
- As copy of Sharuum enters the battlefield, ETB of copy is added to the stack.
- As copy/original Sharuum the Hegemon are both on the battlefield, legend rule is added to the stack.
- Legend rule resolves; choose for the real Sharuum to go to the graveyard.
- Copy-Sharuum ETB trigger resolves. Target original Sharuum.
- Original Sharuum enters the battlefield. As Sharuum enters the battlefield, the Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector trigger and Sharuum's ETB triggers are put on the stack (Sharuum's on top).
- Repeat from step 4.
So this leaves us with a copy of Workhorse each time this cycle of events is run. That in turn means infinite mana. That in turn means you can carry out the loop of infinitely creating copies of Sharuum the Hegemon (without involving Workhorse anymore) to return all your artifacts to the BF.
Correct?
There's just one thing that still bothers me. When you take off all of Workhorse's counters for mana, does it die right away? Isn't that a static ability that resolves when someone else gets priority? I'm not sure if I understand this correctly ...
June 21, 2017 1:14 p.m.
Ow sorry, you need Workhorse on the BF as well before step 1 starts.
June 21, 2017 1:15 p.m.
You are correct with all the steps. Workhorse can be in the graveyard before starting the loop, but you will need 6 mana to cast the commander.
Take off counter from Workhorse is a mana ability and it dies as a state-base action, which means there is no mechanic in magic that can interrupt it once you receive priority.

Thank you so much. This cleared up a lot of your other combo's too. Like I said, I'm going to build a less expensive version of this. I'll probably post it too, but I'll give you all the credit. I will message you when it's done.

be warned a couple of things stop your fun like Rest in Peace and coat of arms (cant go infinite if the horse cant die)
also solemnity seems to hurt workhorse a lot.

Haha, there is no particular reason for not include Ancient Den, I don't need that many artifact lands and I need plains more than artifact land. Academy Ruins is almost useless for me, I never had an experience that it was needed to win me a game.
Helm and leyline combo doesn't have any synergy with my deck, and it only eliminates one player at a time. I am not trying to include all the 2 card combos, only the ones that have added value to my current deck.
