NV_1980 I am glad you like it. I do have an older version with more combos for more casual playgroup, you may find my changes prior to 4/30 where I took Thopter Foundry, Time Sieve, Myr Battlesphere, Myr Turbine and Mind Slaver out. The older version has about 20 more unique combos which I think is also fun to play with.

chaosumbreon87 I agree the deck is vulnerable to some hate cards, and as much as I hate to include cards like Wipe Away to deal with Torpor Orb, Rest in Peace, Stony Silence...etc

This is a draft, I don't have the cards. I need fund from the boss. You earn over 100k a month this Sharuum budget is pocket change for you. Thank you boss!

Gate to the Afterlife with metamorph/ sculpting steel and sharuum allows for infinite life and bin your deck with the combo terminating in one recurred artifact (Aetherflux Reservoir)

The problem is that those two cards are almost useless in all other situations. To this deck, a combo piece must be versatile enough or can be part of multiple combos to be considered.

meta dependent but Zulaport Cutthroat circumvents hexproof with the Sharuum the Hegemon + Sculpting Steel/Phyrexian Metamorph combo, downside being he doesn't work with some of the other combos in your list that Disciple of the Vault does.

Yes that's the reason I cut that card and keep only Disciple of the Vault since I have never seen player hexproof played in EDH even once.

I liked this deck and i built a another version with your list and NV_1980 list.

But i think if you put Lion's Eye Diamond you need put Auriok Salvagers, only for the combo with two.

Auriok Salvagers only combos with LED and has no other use, he is also harder to search that's why I don't use him.

I don't just throw in cards that combos, there are a lot more cards that combo with my current list but they are not versatile or cannot be part of other combos, thus I don't consider those cards.

How are decks rated on this site to be competitive?

oo7x7oo says... #14

My friend and I didn't figure out yet. I suspect it is based on ramps and cmc curve. I suppose I could test by creating a deck full of low cost ramps but no win con to find out lol

I believe it is based on % of card use compared to the entire deck database. for example, this is rated as 100% compeditivwe despite a horrible curve and no synnergy whatsoever

Looks like a very fun deck, but I cried when I saw the price

My paper version of this deck is non-foiled without Mishra's Workshop which costs about $1000. Or if you like, you may build a budget version based on Construction Complete!

Very nice Deck.I have a very expensive Prossh deck that ive been playing competitively and i sold part of it to make this deck. I play tested about 15 games and won turn 7 or less very frequently. Of course i changed a few cards out for things like Blood artist and Zulaport Cutthroat just to benefit off the life gain because my meta hates on artifacts. Now ill make them hate it even more lol.

Tawnos's Coffin should really be in every high-end Sharuum deck...the way it can repeatedly shut down enemy Commanders is hilarious :)

Thank you for your suggestion. But I am not looking for control style, competitive decks look to win as soon as possible with cheap counter spell backups

Rabid_Wombat says... #21

If you really want the deck to be competitive I'd suggest dumping Sharuum for Sydri as Commander ;)

I +1 for the Bomberman combo.

You are already playing LED, just replace a card from another 4-cards combo with Auriok Salvagers and you get a 2-cards combo!

Moreover, you are also playing Intuition: if you add Unburial Rites, you get a 1-card combo!
Cast Intuition and grab LED, Auriok Salvagers and Unburial Rites. Whatever your opponent lets you into your hand, you will be able to activate the combo.

In addition, Unburial Rites is not a dead card alone and can be a backup reanimating another combo piece.

And Auriok Salvagers can recur up to 10 targets in your list among Voltaic Key, Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, artifact lands, etc..
