Thank you for the suggestion. I have thought about Auriok Salvagers many times before, however he didn't make into my list because he is more difficult to tutor and he doesn't belong to any other combo other than LED. One of my concept is that my combo pieces are shared among many different combo, so cutting one card for him is like cutting 5+ combos. Good point about Intuition with Unburial Rites, I never thought about it because I have too few creatures.

I run a very similar deck to this in paper. LOVE that you have the Su-Chi/ Workhorse - Deathmantle combo included. Among one of my favorite WinCons to resolve. My list is considerably more budget (No LED, Mox, Ancient Tomb, YawgWill, etc.), but this is exactly the sort of thing I want to eventually end up with.

Feel free to give it a peek. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/espers-premiere-scrapyard/

Any infinite mana combo you can win with it

NayrSlayer I could make you a budget version that works.

Best combo I've ever had in a game with this commander was on turn 7 Tezzeret the Seeker ultimate Rite of Replication targeting my 5/5 Gilded Lotus and Clone Legion my other crap left over

I also don't understand why power artifact Basalt Monolith / Grim Monolith with Power Artifact isn't in here Blacker Lotus is legal till Jan Unwinding Clock Temple Bell Scroll Rack Copy Artifact Wurmcoil Engine Pili-Pala + Grand Architect Staff of Domination amongst other staple and easy combo cards... this deck is missing a lot!

I think that something like Solemn Simulacrum is way to slow of a card to be playing. You should also put in the Dramatic Scepter combo and you should put in Ponder, Lotus Petal and maybe Thoughtcast, Gamble for memes. You could also play some eggs and Scrap Trawler with Krark-Clan Ironworks this will ensure that you aren't sure if you can win or not until you hit something important like a Myr Retriever.

I will not cut Solemn because it serves as a ramp, refill, and part of few combo pieces. Good suggest with dramatic reversal with isochron scepter, but it is difficult to cut two cards at once. I need to test play to see what other cards or combos to adjust

Commander's Sphere basically can do the same thing as Solemn but it just can't be sacrificed by Ashnod's Altar

Meh, not super competitive, but fun as tier 2. Can't handle stax nor can it consistently outrace combo. Disruption is lacking for control, and plenty of slots wasted on the combo.

I'd suggest turning this deck into the more mainstream artifact deck in the meta, Dramatic scepter and Paradox Engine with Thrasios and Hymns wins faster, uses less cards to combo, and can handle 3x extract which you think is important.

Thrasios as commander means infinite mana wins, so easy infinite mana comboes work out much better than Sharuum. The combo package is less than ten dedicatrd cards, and it can race other combo, has good control and can deal with draw well.

Yes you are correct and I very well aware this is not a tier 1 deck. I think the fun aspect is more important than being fast competitive combo racing. I play in a meta with players with tier 1 decks that can consistently win on turn 3 if there is no disruption, in fact, this deck is not very good against them but not terrible. If I try to modify it to be more competitive then the strategy will become too linear and lose its fun aspect, plus, Sharuum is a tier 2 commander after all.

Spending 3k on a Tier two deck as popular as this one that is dubbed "Competitive" is very misleading. I love Sharuum, but can't bring myself to enjoy looking at a deck this expensive for a non-competitive deck.

I can't even say it is the most competitive Sharuum deck either.

oo7x7oo says... #20

I never say it's the most competitive build, I even mentioned that I want to keep the puzzle concept and not go all out fast combo (which leads to very similar play every game).

I don't see what relevance spending money on a deck I enjoy has anything to do with deck building, especially when 3k is just a pocket change

Nice deck! This deck looks really fun to use, but there are a few combos which i don't understand how they go infinite. Main ones being: Sharuum the Hegemon + Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector + Krark-Clan Ironworks/Ashnod's Altar

Sharuum the Hegemon + Workhorse + Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector

Sharuum the Hegemon + Su-Chi + Mirrorworks/Minion Reflector + Krark-Clan Ironworks/Ashnod's Altar

There are more, but i do not wish to flood. Thank you!

July 1, 2018 9:20 p.m.

let me try to explain some of those that i understand.

sharuum etb triggers+mirrorworks triggers. pay the mirrorworks cost by sacing og sharuum. copy etbs targeting sharuum. sac the token for 2 mana. copy's etb resolves bringing back sharuum and restarting the loop. each loop nets 2 mana and a sharuum trigger.

Sharuum+SU-chi+mirrorworks+KCI: see previous combo but net mana for su-chi dying

Sharuum+workhorse+mirrorworks (this combo needs a sac outlet. the sac outlet doesnt have to make mana): sharuum etb trigger and mirrorworks trigger. pay the mana using workhorse's ability (2 mana left for later use). Sac sharuum in response before the trigger resolves. Sharuum copy resolves bringing back sharuum. Og sharuum etb brings back workhorse use the 2 floating to copy. sac sharuum then copy etbs. copy will target og sharuum, return to the start of the combo. Nets a sharuum trigger each loop. 0 mana net each iteration.

Since this is basically infinitecombo.dec, I thought I’d share a new one I discovered recently that is on-color. Use if you wish.

In an EDH setting, Bontu is the best choice, but any could work. Enjoy.
