I like but my build is more mono black with a splash of green and red... 3G would be tough to hit and at 8cmc again it bumps my curve which wouldn't be so bad of it were black. Again thank you for your input. I will find a Murderous Redcap. That will make it in..

Alright. I think I have seen enough of this play to understand my shortcomings... I do prefer the non token them. That being said persist and undying creatures outweigh my other creatures whom I must pay over and over again to get on the field. So I am working on moving creatures that are less valuable; particularly that don't hit the battlefield after hitting the graveyard. If the come back to hand that won't do with the exception of very very light mana costing cards like Rancor, Bloodghast and the like.I think I am also going to work Gilded Lotus in instead of Thran Dynamo I might keep both... Other cards that do not support this theme and pace will be reconsidered. Should have my revisions up later tonight. Necropotence is looking like is should be in here rather than Dark Prophecy. Stuff like that is going to happen. :)

Have a working copy to keep my ideal changes handy... In the mean time I made a few changes.

in: Birds of Paradise out: Tenacious Dead

in: Rancor out: Sensei's Divining Top

in: Darksteel Ingot out: Golgari Signet

in: Murderous Redcap out: Xenagos, the Reveler

in: Destructive Revelry out: Brood of Cockroaches

These are temporary until I get a few other cards but I think the removal will help me with what is working.

Green blue infect deck slaughtered me. Apparently some spot removal would be of benefit. Abrupt Decay and a couple more might make their way in...

Real debate going on with these choices...

Deathrender vs. Nim Deathmantle

Xenagos, the Reveler vs. Nether Traitor I know they are different beast but which fits in this build better..

More Dual Lands vs Basics and the fetch package I have Cultivate Farseek Skyshroud Claim Terramorphic Expanse Evolving Wilds Solemn Simulacrum

Deathrite Shaman vs Sakura-Tribe Elder

Vraska the Unseen vs Decree of Pain

Decree of Pain vs Reaper from the Abyss

Terramorphic Expanse Evolving Wilds vs Kessig Wolf Run

I do not have a lot of beaters so maybe Reaper from the Abyss instead Sidisi, Undead Vizier? Kokusho, the Evening Star Mikaeus, the Unhallowed Murderous Redcap with Mimic Vat or Cauldron of Souls get a lot done though..

Chime in!

Your mana base looks really nice. I have to admit though, I am kind of surprised you didn't play a Yavimaya Elder, any reason? He feeds into a skull clamp and your commander amazingly.

I played with a Deathrender before in my bant EDH deck, Thrun, the Dank Commander and I took it out after drawing it twice. It just didn't work as nicely as I figured. Maybe you have a better reasoning for it then I did, but I doubt it will work how you want it to. So go with the Nim Deathmantle if its between the two, its just better.

Xenagos, the Reveler looks like a solid card for this deck, Nether Traitor has graveyard recurrence yes, but its just a hasty 1/1 and it looks like you already have plenty of 1/1 generators to feed into Skullclamp or whatever.

Reaper from the Abyss is a solid EDH card. Vraska the Unseen seems a little underwhelming in EDH.

June 23, 2015 11:08 a.m.

Deathrender attaches to sac fodder and cheats out big nasties I may not have the mana for at the time. It being colorless at 4 it hits the board. After that any top deck creature can be played for 2 -attach-- & --sac fodder-- & --free costing creature--. It may be underwhelming though. With Nim Deathmantle I am not always sure I will have the 4 mana when my NON token creature croaks as this deck is mana intensive.

I like Xenagos, the Reveler a lot also. He just does more and the mana ramp is sweet, not to mention more sac fodder.

Yavimaya Elder was a contender but Sakura-Tribe Elder won out at 1 less mana and just as clampable. The elder is sac ready with a card for 2 so he is definitely worthy.

I really like Reaper from the Abyss, but struggle on what to take out for it... Maybe Deathrender. lol

Thanks for sharing your thoughts awesomealex77!

Another debate brews:Bloodline Keeper  Flip or Myr Battlesphere vs Thopter Assembly The artifact creatures seem relevant as well as getting to recast it. Sac fodder flying blockers are a thing.

June 23, 2015 2:23 p.m.

I really like Vraska the Unseen for the spot removal. vs Reaper from the Abyss whhich just deals with non-demon creatures.. She comes out and removes my biggest problem right away.

There we go.. I like that curve

June 24, 2015 3:41 a.m.

Bloodghast out for Strionic Resonator and I am thinking that Harmonize can go and Rings of Brighthearth would be a good trade off

June 24, 2015 9:36 p.m.

Okay so after the last edits I am pretty satisfied with my build.

I feel my weakest links are:

Deathrite Shaman -- He is a great card but just doesn't get me closer to winning when I get him out on turn one he still just durdles me along more than affect the board like I want Farseek -- Another solid choice but really only gives me two choice picks to grab out of my whole deck Blood Crypt, Overgrown Tomb. Late game pretty much a dead drawMyr Retriever, and Junk Diver -- Both synergize well in this build but just don't do alot especially early game when I don't have an artifact in my graveyard yet. Glissa, the Traitor, and Trading Post get the job done with much better value

Murderous Redcap -- Infinite combos with a sac outlet and Mikaeus but just think I could do better

Replacements ideas for Deathrite Shaman are: Sensei's Divining Top, Thoughtpicker Witch, Voltaic Key, Killing Wave, and Worldly Tutor

Replacements ideas for Farseek are: Terramorphic Expanse, and Evolving Wilds... Bad idea? Ideas Welcome here!

Replacements ideas for Myr Retriever, and Junk Diver are: Hell's Caretaker, Liquimetal Coating, Merciless Executioner, Parallel Lives, Purphoros, God of the Forge. and Yavimaya Elder

Replacements ideas for Murderous Redcap are: Parallel Lives, Purphoros, God of the Forge, Mitotic Slime, Braids, Cabal Minion, Creeping Renaissance, Hell's Caretaker, and Prossh, Skyraider of Kher

Other cards I am considering swapping include:

Dark Prophecy out for Necropotence

Ghost Quarter in? worth it in this build?

Beast Within will replace Chaos Warp when I get it in hand

I really like Parallel Lives, and Thoughtpicker Witch and I already replaced Farseek for Terramorphic Expanse. Purphoros, God of the Forge looks like a solid choice in this deck as well.

Interested to hear feedback!

June 26, 2015 1:26 p.m.

As much as I love Birthing Pod after really looking at my creatures and their mana curve I just don't see it paying dividends. I think replacing it for another card draw engine, mana source, or tutor option would just be more beneficial. I am going to drop in Bloodgift Demon in and take it out. I am open to hearing opinions about this. I just don't think I have enough 2-3 drop creatures to get me what I'd rather have using the pod.

Parallel Lives and Beast Within came in today replacing Chaos Warp, and Deathrite Shaman

I am going to get Thoughtpicker Witch, and Mitotic Slime, they will replace Junk Diver, and Murderous Redcap

The last card on my list is Hell's Caretaker and it will replace Myr Retriever

June 26, 2015 8:04 p.m.

I am still on the fence about Purphoros, God of the Forge

June 26, 2015 8:14 p.m.

I went back to Chaos Warp because of the indestructible permanents.
