"Hold the line, For family, and the fallen!"

The Abzan represent the endurance of the dragon. This is a deck which focuses on Flavor, not to the detriment of gameplay.

After focusing my efforts on it for a few play sessions I've been able to identify a number of themes and strategies that didn't work and address them.

Right now there's a small group hug theme through an Early Oath of Lieges, Heartbeat of Spring, or Rites of Flourishing that can speed up games and help out struggling players. If you enjoy hanging out with friends and ensuring everyone gets to play their decks then this can be a great deck to pilot. Sometimes this will lose you the game, but opponents are usually ecstatic about getting their mana doubled, and will sometimes show you favor for helping them out.

It also comes with a heft of answers to deal with most things that hit the table. Ending games can be a bit of trouble as there's only one way to do it and it involves turning creatures sideways.
