I tried to recall an old deck of mine, and here's what I remember.
Basically, this list is just relevant if you're looking at Cast-o-Phobia (-1/-1 Counters) by SpaceNinja.
Anyway, for those interested, while I don't agree with everything in this old list, the core remains.Let me get one thing straight: Sheltering Ancient rocks. He's basically a better goyf in this deck. He is not only a 5/5 with trample, he's also a huge tool for this deck. His upkeep will disable creatures in combination with the kulrath knight. His upkeep will kill people unknowingly with a swift fate transfer. They'll block with their big beater, and you'll crush them with a 11/11 tramply 2 drop.
The remainder of the cards all know great synergy with this gameplan. The soul snuffer will make your upkeep easier to pay, the Canker abomination will punish people who try to avoid the sheltering ancient by not playing any creatures. The power conduit will remove age counters and put +1/+1 counters in its stead(or make combat difficult). The storytellers are a much needed 3 drop and also a huge punisher for people who play control. You as a player really won't care about triggering it with a couple of your spells, as you will kill them long before that one card will matter.
If I were to rebuild it, I'd put in Devoted Druid to go big instead, as mana is a huge issue for the deck. I'd probably also make my curve a little lower and really make it feel like a stompy deck. Now that I remember more and more, I realize that I was cutting on lands when I played this. Probably wouldn't do that now.
