The_BLack_Eagle: Thanks for the suggestions. I will definitely add in Blade of the Bloodchief, Gatekeeper of Malakir and Guul Draz Assassin when I can find their promo arts or foils. I do however think that I want to keep Sword of Feast and Famine and All Is Dust in the deck though. The sword just opens up more mana for more uses for Olivia, Guul Draz, Imposter, etc, especially in late game. All Is Dust is a great boardwipe especially for the troublesome Gods and other enchantments that can cause some problems. I plan on taking out Planar Portal because I rarely get to have mana that allows me to use its ability and cast the intended card I want to play. I also plan to put Praetor's Grasp into my sideboard for my lgs EDH tournaments. If you can think of a third card to take out or is more of a sideboard card, that would be great.

Maybe Sangromancer? It isn't that bad of a card, I just don't think it's ability is very relevant.

Some suggestions I have would be Mana Echoes for the insane amount of mana you can pump out with some vamps out there. Bad Moon to pump all your vamps. Also probably some assorted mana ramp cards. Stuff like Worn Powerstone Basalt Monolith or Rakdos Signet. Also I think any black edh deck should have Yawgmoth's Bargain but that's just me. Looks like a sweet deck, but I'm a sucker for tribal decks. +1 from me

I also run a tribal vampire deck, but mine is mono-black or black-white.. I would recommend Urza's Incubator, Aphetto Dredging, Blood Tribute, Urge to Feed, and Mirri the Cursed.

I have a friend who runs Braid of Fire in his Olivia deck. Uses it to ping the crap outta stuff on his upkeep. idk if it's worth a spot, but it can get pretty scary if left alone.

Blood Tribute and Braid of Fire both work well in my decks but my main problem is always spot removal. Olivia is a target before she is even on the board so I would consider some more Hexproof/Shroud (at least in sideboard for when you play somebody that just removes everything). Champion's Helm and Swiftfoot Boots both attach for only 1 mana.

I think spot removal while always be a problem for these colours, especially non damage based effects. Equipments that give protection can help, but there isn't a whole lot you can do to her being targeted in response to equipping. Putting in a bit of reanimation stuff might help a bit, but that's not really an answer to removal. Offering disincentives to killing your creatures though things like Grave Pact sometimes works, but is not especially reliable. The best option might be to have some useful sac outlet like Attrition, so you can get a bit of value out of her dying lol..

Another strategy might be to try and race to get Olivia protected, using artifact ramp. Heartless Summoning can help with this, but obviously has its downsides.

Crypt Ghast is illegal in your deck.

Crypt Ghast has a colour identity of , The is in the effect rules text, not the cost itself.

arthurxisde: Crypt Ghast is legal as it is identified as a black creature. The best example I can give is that it is in the 2014 Commander product.

I think Blade of Selves would be beneficial. It's worse in this deck than others, but still seems very potent.

http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/waltz-with-olivia/ This is my current build for Olivia and I absolutely love it. I was also running into the stall out problem, but I managed to fix it by adding in a bit of grave play.

I went the ping style deck, you might want to look into death touch for spot removal.
Olivia Voldaren Machine Gunner

trobaldo: the all in deathtouch strategy is fine in a creature heavy meta but my group is too diverse to do that. I do have Basilisk Collar to use her ability as a machine gun effect. I try to have a balanced deck to try to take care of almost situation.

You should add Reprocess so you can "turn off" Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood. Otherwise it technically ends in a draw.

jonfehl says... #20

Actually Wicked_N_Irish it does not end in a draw thanks to the wording on the cards. The fact that the cards say opponent means, once all opponents are out of life the game is won. There is no need to "turn off" either of the cards.

if your looking for a bit more protection/cruel control I'd suggest slipping into your deck a Word of Command, a well timed one of those can shut down entire decks. Would also suggest adding to your sideboard Imp's Mischief for those decks that excel in spot removal and counterspells.

TheHamster: Word of Command is very interesting. I think I will proxy it for a while and try it for a while.
