Maybeboard

Still fiddling around with this list. Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker comes out turn 4-6, gets protected, and starts saccing everything that moves. Ideally, if we can get 1-2 creatures up by the time our engine is running, we can ramp our pings into double digits.

2 of the most valuable cards here are Shambling Ghast and Skullport Merchant as they give us treasure tokens as we go, so we have mana income on opponent turns.

Right now, it feels kind of low on lands with some test plays, but repeatable fetches and treasure tokens get the ball rolling. Ramping ASAP into our engine is ideal as the deck will not do a lot otherwise. Our creature package is hopefully too small to draw a lot of attention, but we have ways to recur early knockouts. Tutors later allow this deck to turn into kind of a control toolbox later in the game. Every creature in this list re-enters the battlefield after it dies and Shirei is up, including swamps if Kormus Bell is active. Smokestack feel good to tutor as it puts a clock on the game that we otherwise don't have, beside maintaining creature presence. Kind of a weird bomb. Draws and sacrifice outlets feel ok. Lots of stuff on the Maybe Board. Definitely feels slow to get going but is really satisfying and gives a lot of options for triggers during opponent plays.

Shoutout to The Meathook Massacre dropping with Midnight Hunt, which looks super cool and slots right in with Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat.

Thanks for looking!
