@ Femme_Fatale

>puts on amused but slightly nasty smile< You are aware that your last statement is more than enough for those disgusting boys, right? You've probably got a huge disgusting fanclub already that's being disgusting right now... better try not to imagine it... ;P

There's a big difference between a neighborhood fan club and a world-wide fan club Triforce-Finder. And my windows are fairly secluded, so I don't worry too much. If I got lookie-loos, then oh well, I can handle a neighborhood, I can't handle a world.

Yeah, I got that much, Femme_Fatale. What I actually meant is that if you want to keep your fanclub small, you shouldn't post on the internet about being naked...

sk00kes im not a fan of Master of Cruelties BUT I'd imagine he'd be in a build similar to this, but probably one with blue in it for Thassa, God of the Sea

Yah maybe so, also using blue countermagic to protect it i guess, since it seems like it would be a good card to sideboard against control... But i just noticed that the style of your deck is control based heavy on removal and disruption. Just thinking if you turned your 8 creatures into 4, you could have 4 slots available for more disruption/removal... Then again it just might be a horrible idea. :)

You're probably right, it would probably have to fit into a Grixis deck to work.

sk00kes pretty much. having counters a long side an unblockable Master of Cruelties can be a big pain, especially when that counter is Counterflux

this deck is definitely a control deck, just not the typical U/x/x build control is used to. also, I dont think I'd ever take out any creatures... but I have been thinking of possibly adding in Pack Rat and switching some of my hand feed from Read the Bones to Underworld Connections . just not sure exactly how to pull that off.

Well i would say exactly that, run both or run neither. You have the Whip of Erebos to cheat an eternal rat out, but you need to draw more in order to fuel your discard. Cutting Desecration Demon is what you would want to do. i get why the demon is good in your deck, but it is still unstable, and gives your opponent lots of outs, especially if your opponent is a good player...

Then again the same can be said about Pack Rat and if you go all-in and your opponent slops out on a draw, you can dig yourself a huge hole...

i think that's why i made the comment about the Master, because if you run traditional burn like Lightning Strike and/or Magma Jet you don't have to build a multiple turn assault. If you are patient, play after your disruption resolves like a Thoughtseize where the hand revealed looks good, or after a nice sweep with Rakdos's Return , one hit, plus a bolt and the job is done...

I run Master of Cruelties in my Rakdos deck. Combos nicely with Mogis's Marauder and a Spark jolt

If I were you I would add a four-of Millstone so you can grind them down for the win.
