As I was getting together the pieces for my Standard Red/Blue Ensoul meta this deck idea occurred to me: What if you could land a Pyromancer's Goggles on turn three? If you could, how quickly could you burn your opponents face off?

I'm not sure how well this will work in the current Modern meta, but I know it can rope 10 damage on turn 3, and at least another 10 on turn 4 if the cards fall correctly. Perfecting this deck will take a lot of play-testing, but I find the idea very exciting.

So the idea is to cast either Shrapnel Blast or Goblin Grenade with mana from Pyromancer's Goggles for a quick 10 damage that only requires one artifact/goblin sacrifice. Here's how we do it on turn 3:

T1: Land (any, untapped), Springleaf Drum , Ornithopter

T2: Land (any, Untapped), Chief Engineer

T3: Land (any, untapped), Dragon Fodder, Pyromancer's Goggles , Shrapnel Blast / Goblin Grenade

T4: Keep burning.
