Drop the 2 Sign in Blood s for a third Mutilate and another card:Wit's End

Well... I had completely different luck with the deck. Sigarda, Host of Herons is a BIG problem for this deck. There really isn't an answer to her. Lost vs her to two different people on Cockatrice, is there any answer that you can think of? Bonfire of the Damned ?

And I agree with w999, except maybe a Bonfire of the Damned in place of card:Wit's End, maybe even 2 of them?

Oh ouch. That sounds like some hard luck, ducttapedeckbox. card:Wit's End was a card I was considering taking out in the first place. But not sure I want bonfire in for it. Mutilate should have done bonfires job on sigarda.

Maybe Liliana of the Dark Realms ? Her emblem and first ability definitely helps with card:Rakdos's Return and Killing Wave 's x mana cost

2 Liliana of the Dark Realms instead of the Sign in Blood and Mutilate instead of card:Wit's End

Changes: -1 card:Wit's End +1 Mutilate . Sign in Blood has helped me so much when I'm sitting there with no cards in hand. I'm gonna keep it :).

Liliana of the Veil may be worth considering.

Since you love Pillar of Flame , what about the 1RR version in place of the Searing Spear ?

I really think Liliana of the Dark Realms has a place in here. Her second ability may not do too much, but her first and third abilities make card:Rakdos's Return into a win con. You may win game one with Shrieking Affliction , but round 2, they'll sb some enchantment hate and then your done for.

forreal tho lilliana is probably the best suggestion ive read for this deck.. personally ive played against these types of decks and card advantage is just so important and bangin when you have it..with lillianas emblem you can use rakdos return to take out the whole hand and a shitload of damage (which is good when u really dont have many win cons ) and the killing wave becomes sick with the emblem ..

Here, let me elaborate. Liliana of the Dark Realms

Her first ability allows you to get more swamps for card:Rakdos's Return, Mutilate , and Killing Wave . It allows you to thin out your deck so you don't draw a swamp when you need a board wipe or something. Her first ability also allows you to search for Blood Crypt is you need red mana.

Her second ability can kill a single creature so that you don't waste a Mutilate or something

Her emblem ability turn card:Rakdos's Return into a monster. With 2 Blood Crypt 4 swamp and 1 Dragonskull Summit , your opponent would lose 23 life and discard their entire hand.

I really think she is worth putting in this deck

I would definitely consider Underworld Connections for CA, especially if your games are going to tend to run longer. The thing about discard is that it takes cards to make them drop cards, so this can help give you the upper hand easier. Also if you do run Underworld Connections , I would take a look at Bonfire of the Damned . Since you can use connections to draw on their turn you can get twice as many miracle chances.

The answer to deal with any of those problem cards is to sideboard in some Slaughter Games . As for the deck I believe it might work more smoothly overall if you add in some Rakdos Keyrune , as a mana rock it can ramp you into better card:Rakdos's Returns faster, guarantees that you have the mana to land a liliana the next turn, allows for another way to win by doing a surprise liliana -3 on it, and it gives you an easy way to ward away smaller creatures (or Thragtusk s) freeing you up to use spot removal for bigger threats in the late game.

I would take out the Mind Rot s as they are only useful earlier in the game. I'd replace it with 3x Rakdos Keyrune and 1x Sign in Blood . I also like Liliana of the Veil better for this deck as you can get her out faster and she does more. You will hardly ever be able to ultimate your other Liliana, and this Liliana can defend herself and goes much better with the discard theme.

I like Liliana of the Dark Realms . She provides another win con, and can thin out my deck (said above by w999) AND can destroy other creatures with her - ability. In fact, I almost got her ultimate a game ago.

Mind Rot is literally my main card for discarding. It's so good with this deck.

For side, I would put another Pillar of Flame for zombies or rdw. Also two more Dreadbore for selesnya

More Dreadbore and Murder for Loxodon Smiter and Sigarda, Host of Herons .

Duress for card:Sphinx's Revelation.

Night Terrors for all three weakness.
