you want to win with commander damage, but I am feeling a lot of token love.

Highly suggest View from Above for obvious reasons.
Cast Through Time seems like a win more card to me. I'd suggest Bident of Thassa or Coastal Piracy for card draw.
Shu screams voltron so I like the divergent path of a dedicated token strategy. Having another passive damage enabler, such as Impact Tremors, couldn't hurt.

peterpanning, I use Thassa, God of the Sea and Narset Transcendent.

Hello,
I'd strongly suggest to run Mirrorwing Dragon alongside Zada. It's kinda like my Shu Yun build if you wish to take a Martial Prowess. Great build overall.

Great idea! I'll throw him in. Never ended up making this deck, and probably won't unless I can get my play group to switch to Tiny Commander or they make some really bonkers Giants or "when ~ deals combat damage" cards.

Willbreaker combos with him. Shu Yun's ability "targets" something even if you do not pay for the double strike. So, for every spell you cast, you can gain control of 1-2 creatures.

@strembl7 I'm almost certain that's not how that works. If you don't pay the R/WR/W, you don't choose a target--it's not described as "choose a target creature, then you may pay R/WR/W."

strembl7, I like the suggestion. I use a similar mechanic in my Yasova Dragonclaw deck (which is all about theft).
peterpanning, that is how it works. Shu Yun's ability read 'target creature gains double strike', which means that the creature is targeted by your creature's ability, so Willbreaker would trigger. Unless you have something providing your creatures haste, the targeted creature would be subject to summoning sickness and would not be able to utilize the double strike this turn, but you would have control of it.
Also, peterpanning, I am impressed with that fact that you are responding to the comments on my deck quicker than I am. You're making me look bad. :)

strembl7 & peterpanning, I apologize. I misread Strembl7's first post. peterpanning is correct.
You would have to pay the u/r upon the trigger for an opponents creature to be targeted by Willbreaker. Simply have the option of using the ability is not enough for Willbreaker to trigger. The spell or ability has to target the opponent's creature. So if you don't pay for the double strike ability, you aren't actually targeting the oppenent's creature.
It does work if you pay to give your opponent's creature double strike.
