Not only a tribal human deck, now Best Sigarda leads a Human Soldiers tribal deck!Our deck's goal is to achieve an whitetastic archetypal "go-wide" weenie strategy, while also keeping up a good set of answers to most threat you will find at your kitchen table EDH group.

The main strategy of this deck revolves around obtaining a critical mass of (preferably) human soldiers to pump up via cards such as Field Marshal, Daru Warchief, Marshal's Anthem, Beastmaster Ascension, Cathars' Crusade,Coat of Arms and so on.

As with most creature-based decks, boardwipes may and will shape our doom from time to time. Therefore, it should come to no surprise that most of this deck efforts address this problem by either preventing them (Rootborn Defenses, Eerie Interlude, Dauntless Escort and more) or by rebuilding our board state thanks to Angel of Glory's Rise, Marshal's Anthem and virtually any multiples token generator, such as commander Sigarda, Heron's Grace, Captain of the Watch, Increasing Devotion.

Being WG leaves us some beautiful choices in terms of tutors able to target creatures (Altar of Bone, Eladamri's Call, Congregation at Dawn). Therefore, a good part of our deck's utilities and removals will be attached to a human body (Dauntless Escort is of course an Human Ad Honorem (HAH!)). Keeping up with our human subtheme allows us to play payoff cards like Devout Chaplain, an invaluable tutorable piece against equipment- and artifact- heavy decks.

While not superflashy nor highly competitive, this deck is cheap to build, fairly consistent and provides !!FUN!! games and interesting interactions in multiplayer. While you will (usually) not be able to 1-shot the entire table, playing politics will up your chances to knock out the other players. As an example, being able to easily flush out 40+ damages in the early game allows you to play the role of the justice's hammer against degenerate combo players, remenber that :)

Doubts:

I am currently pondering between using 2 mana or 3 mana ramps. 2 mana ramps will smooth out the curve, while 3 mana ones give a little bit more value. The other possibility will be to utilize Burgeoning + Land Tax , but I will have to test this out first (and I do not own a land tax yet, so that will be hard).
