To add to scratchandsniff comments Hellrider is an amazing four drop. The typical boros build though has, Champion of the Parish , Lightning Mauler and Silverblade Paladin , aiming for the god hand of turn 1 champion of the parish, turn 2, lightning mauler, turn 3 silverblade paladin, soulbound with mauler, swing for 11. +1 x2 for champion, makes it a 3/3, silverblade and maulers soulbound abilities (double strike and haste, respectively), make them swing for 4 each. Turn 4, drop hellrider, swing for 14, plus 4 from hellriders abilities, it gets ugly quick.
land, you want Sacred Foundry
and Clifftop Retreat
and if you can afford them, Cavern of Souls
naming human each time.
Boros Reckoner is actually optional, but a great card to add in if you can though.
This build is rather popular and you probably can see why and as a result, expensive.

Pretty much what everyone else is saying... Hellkite Tyrant could be dropped for something better, like another Thundermaw Hellkite . Searing Spear in place of Annihilating Fire is definitely the better route to go also. Hellrider is probably the best card to play for any creature based deck.

What else can be said that already isn't said? Get those shocks and duals if you're able their versatility will definitely aid you. maybe even a Slayers' Stronghold or 2 Madcap Skills over Traitorous Instinct as it will more often then not deal more damage. SB some Ash Zealot for the grave hate. Gideon? Honestly I don't like this iteration of him if you want a walker you're better off with Ajani, Caller of the Pride he's more of a threat. Boros Charm should be a 4 of. instead of Foundry Champion (while useful) I found that Elite Inquisitor is just too good to not run, and you'll want to throw down as many cheap creatures as you want to swing massive damage and trigger Battalion, spending all your mana on single big drops don't work the best in quick weenie aggro builds imo. O-Ring is quite a staple card. I've even seen Fiend Hunter run pretty well in these decks.

First of all, this deck will be to slow for a boros aggro deck, imo.
Also, you have quite much of 'bad' cards in your deck. I mean Warclamp Mastiff is really bad imho. I would put more useful one drops in your deck, like more Boros Elite s, four times Champion of the Parish , then you can choose between Stromkirk Noble and Legion Loyalist .
I would also tell you to forget those dragons in there, they come in play to late and Hellkite Tyrant is really, REALLY situational. If you really want a dragon in there, I would advice Archwing Dragon .
I suggest you should take a look at other Boros decks out there to get an idea of what to run. This one here is mine: Boros Aggro.

I played RDW in Dragon Maze game day which kinda play similar to this i suppose. Instead of Reacecourse Fury or even better than Bomber Corps i would use 3x Lightning Mauler or any quantity you decire, they are really good. Also Mizzium Mortals is very good, i would put 3 or even 4 at least, that card saved me a few times against Selesnya tokens, my opponent had lot of tokens and creature which power and toughness was equal to creatures he control, the overload saved me the game.

There are other cards like Rakdos Cackler which is a good one drop and cheap, Searing Spear , Pillar of Flame , Hellrider , Ash Zealot and many more useful ones like the boros goblin with haste and batallion. This kind of deck are cheap to make (except Boros Reckoner lol) and they are very effective.

Thank you very much for those suggestions, I'll have a dig thru my cards and see what else I have from your suggestions

A lot of cards in here really are just plain bad like Bomber Corps, Truefire Paladin, Viashino Firstblade (Despite the fact that being a viashino automatically makes him cool), Curse of Exhaustion, Racecourse Fury, and Martial Glory. Aside from adding in desperately needed Searing Spear s and Lightning Mauler s, the spots left over from removing these should go to fill in playsets of cards already in the deck.

Formortiis, thanks for the comments, unfortunately as the description above, I only want to use cards that will be current in a couple of months, so searing and spear and that are out I just need to see what else comes out with m14

First off welcome to magic :DSecondly not a bad deck you have a lot of the basis there but essentially what you need to do is lose the 1 and 2 copies of cards and be running 3 or 4 with the exception of maybe your planeswalkers. Check this out to give you an idea of what I'm talking about: Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's Boros

Okay, so having experience as a fromer Boros Aggro player I hope to be of help!
Considering as you want to keep it within the RTR block, I will try to do the same.
First off you seem to have a tendancy to have a lot of 1's and 2 of's, which really is not good. What you want to try and do is think of the rule of 9.
So with consistency in mind we can now move on to Mana Curve, which is, simply put, playing something every turn. Now we can start of with the mana base. The guildgates are going to hurt you more than they will help you, because since they come in tapped they are hindering you from "maxing out" your curve. So try and invest in x4 Sacred Foundry . Also the specific mana distribution is for later.
So now that the mana is (mostly) out of the way we can focus on the real fun stuff, namely the creatures and spells! So since this is an aggro deck we want to be playing something bigger and bigger every turn. So a general rule of thumb I use is to have 8-12 1mana drops, since its kinda important... Yeah. Continuing, there are a lot of things that can be done here and I will make a deck soon after posting this.
Now there are a bit more specific things, like what should be in the 4drop place.I personally don't really recomend Gideon, Champion of Justice , since he's just too slow for this kind of deck. Spark Trooper is a relativly good card, I just have bad personal experience with it, same goes for Firemane Avenger . A card that I'm still trying to figure out and incorporate is Warleader's Helix , but that might just be my stubborness.
Hmm, now that I've written this it mostly seems like a rant, but I do hope you find some information valuable
Here is the deck Boros Aggro for Sizzler694

Thanks for that man, its appreciated. I'll play around and see how I go. The rule of 9 article is extremely interesting. I would struggle to go to nine

Try to get your hands on another Legion's Initiative and perhaps stuff like Wojek Halberdiers and Daring Skyjek , coupled with Legion Loyalist .
Also, try and switch your Shock with Lightning Bolt .

Thankyou for that, I'll dig around the store and see what I can find

Generally anything with Battalion is fundamental for any Boros Deck, if you center your deck around that I'm sure you'll be fine. :)

I see too many 1 of's and 2 of's for my liking. For the lower mana curve cards you should pick what you like the best and run 3 or 4 of those to make your deck more consistent. I understand you are running it with the cards you have, but see if you can find more of what you like online possibly.

Looks like a good start, but I would definitely recommend 4 Chained to the Rocks . Amazing 1 drop creature removal for a boros deck. It's perfect for removing annoying and big creatures like Desecration Demon or any of the gods. It even works for getting rid an opposing, pesky Boros Reckoner without taking any damage from it. Also, if at all possible, I'd switch out those Boros Guildgate for Sacred Foundry . They're more expensive but you can shock yourself to use them to tap for mana right away. Legion Loyalist is a great little 1 drop with haste and gives first strike, trample, and unblockable by creature tokens when battalioned. I used Mizzium Mortars for the longest time but switched them out for Warleader's Helix since it's an instant and gives life back. And last but not least, this deck would benefit from Frontline Medic . Giving indestructibility to all creatures is an amazing battalion ability. I created my own boros deck (Boros Battalion) built around battalion and have refined it over and over again for the last few months to make it as perfect as possible. It is super quick and can get a big army out very quickly. Check it out and let me know what you think :)

I think that this deck could benefit from some more removal like the aforementioned Chained to the Rocks or more Magma Jet or something along those lines. I second the move to shocklands, but you may want to consider leaving in the Boros Guildgate for more fixing after the change. Or you could change them to Temple of Triumph for a nice scry effect.
On a sidenote, I find it funny that more than half of the cost to buy comes from the 3 Boros Reckoner

You want to be making the deck quicker and run smoother whenever i play against a proper aggro deck there is always creature's in it that combo with other creatures that hit the battlefield and you do not really need the big creatures in your deck stuff like the hellkite tyrant and the firemane avengers could be removed! basically you do not want a lot of cards that cost more than 3 mana to play. Try stuff like Champion of the Parish or Lightning Mauler and instead of Annihilating Fire try searing spear instead its cheaper and does 3 damage but does not exile but again its cheaper and quicker to use! Legion Loyalist is a good one drop creature and if you can get a playset of Boros Reckoner for cheap enough he is brilliant in a deck like this. One of the best one drop creatures is vexing devil but he along with many of the best aggro creatures are expensive to get hold of
