Hey DarkHero, I'll +1 you if you +1 me :D. Anyways, Spootyone, thanks for the tips on HOW to sideboard even, I'll have to keep all of that in mind when I test this more (what do i want against this guy?). On last friday, the only card that really got me was Stormbreath Dragon and so I'll probably find room in my sideboard for Rapid Hybridization , (thats from you DarkHero). And I haven't actually faced a solid control or mono blue devotion yet, so I haven't ever sided in Mistcutter Hydra but will try to find a full set because I don't want to be without it when the time comes.
What you said about the combo and too much removal is true, however, game 1 usually they don't see the combo and I usually end up playing Archangel of Thune last (i don't know why, that's just how i remember it being) and on their end step with the prophet if he's still alive, and so they don't remove Fathom Mage or Horizon Chimera thinking that they are non-issues. Game 2 they waste removal on Fathom Mage or Horizon Chimera and my Archangel of Thune can be safe. If i get wrecked in the future, though, I may decide not to use the combo. But it is so fun!

I haven't actually played against any UWx control builds yet. Right now in my actual sideboard I have Rootborn Defenses just in case I run into sweepers like Supreme Verdict . But looks like I know what to test against next!

Oh but this isn't control! Thanks for the +1, and remember to bring your friends!

Prophet of Kruphix is my favourite card from Theros but I don't think it belongs in your deck. Archangel of Thune is your only followup play and other than that you don't really have any ways of taking advantage of it. It's just kind of...there. You'd be better of either cutting it for something better or building around it.

Well it allows me to play Fathom Mage on my turn, Horizon Chimera on the following endstep, and Archangel of Thune on my turn and instantly win by swinging the chimera. I really don't want to change my mainboard a whole lot, especially not Prophet of Kruphix because I always find use out of it. However, what would you replace it with? Also, sideboard is my biggest issue right now

I run 4 Prognostic Sphinx in my Prophet of Kruphix deck. It would be especially good here to help you dig for your combo pieces, not to mention it's just a really solid card against Devotion decks. The hexproof and 3/5 flying body deal with every flyer in Standard that isn't Desu Demon. It's pretty much my favourite followup to Prophet.

For two posts up, you could achieve the infinite combo on your upkeep before you draw, its the same up to the Horizon Chimera on the end step. But this way, you can instantly go off without needed to resort to your combat step.
As far as card suggestions go, have you thought about Ephara, God of the Polis ? It would be card advantage and another way to trigger the combo once it has been set up.

I don't quite understand what you're saying, Bromjunaar, in the first paragraph. As for Ephara, God of the Polis I never really though about her, but i'll try her out sometime and see how I like it. Any form of card advantage is nice, and I could probably get the devotion sometimes. Thanks for the suggestion. And cryptoplasm I originally had Prognostic Sphinx in here, but decided to try it without it. The only time I've ever wished I still had it is against Stormbreath Dragon and Blood Baron of Vizkopa , but the baron less so. I might throw it back in :D

In between the time you untap your cards and when you draw, there is a chance for players to cast spells. If you cast the final combo piece in this step, your draw for the turn will trigger your combo, allowing you to swing with your ridiculously large Chimera and any other creatures for (hopefully) lethal that turn.

Wait, you can flash a creature on your own upkeep and summoning sickness won't kick in? Or just for the other creatures to be gigantic and swing?

Summoning sickness is still there, but if you are flashing a piece in and setting off your combo, you have at least 2, probably 3+ creatures that can swing for very lethal.

I would replace garruk with Azorius Charm because you have enough card draw with the revilation ... plus garruk is really ugley! haha

So my suggestion would be to run Simic Charm , it's really good for slowing down GR and also for protecting permanents from sacrifice AND targeted abilities. Nice deck though! I like the name

I remember that Doctor Who episode! "4,022 saved. No survivors."
March 12, 2014 10:10 a.m.
It was a great episode. And The Doctor, I actually have only faced a Maze's end deck when it comes to control, no azorius or esper. That deck was rough for me... But that's why I have Jace, Memory Adept , and it won me game 2 against the maze

I personally would play Ephara, God of the Polis . Why? It's stupid with Prophet. Okay, your turn, flash in a dude at end step, draw two cards at the beginning of my turn, etc. You basically take turns along with your opponent. I play it in a deck with more Flash-y stuff, but it might work for you since you have enough creatures. Hope this is helpful!

Thanks for the idea Hider1120, I'll be sure to try it! It'll be good, especially late in the game, for cycling mana dudes.
