Deck mechanics
This deck combine Evolve and Undying to get nice creature for almost no mana.
The best card of this deck must be Rapid Hybridization because you can use it on Young Wolf or Strangleroot Geist to get 2 nice creatures for 2/3 CMC. So, if there is already a creature with evolve (
Cloudfin Raptor
or Experiment One) on the battlefield, you may trigger it two times in a row.
If you have Rapid Hybridization and
Hunger of the Howlpack
in hand, you can do an awesome trick by killing one of your creatures and putting a +3/+3 counter on the Frog Lizard token. So, you get a 6/6 creature for 2 CMC (on an undying creature, this combo become even better).
Zameck Guildmage
is also a strong guy in this deck because of the 1/2 CMC of every cards. You will often have enough mana to pay its abilities. Best use of this card is to remove a token from an undying creature for card advantage. You can also put a token on Fathom Mage to draw a card.
And the other cards...
Ambush Viper
is an awesome blocker and can trigger evolve before dying on opponent turn.
Wingcrafter can help you win the game or block a flying creature.
Fathom Mage can help you on card advantage if it stay alive.
