I like Polukranos, World Eater it definitely makes a good secondary win condition, also playtesting you almost always drop Nylea, God of the Hunt online so I would say she is also a decent win condition

I also like Primeval Bounty a lot because of Nykthos, an interesting mana accelerator alternative is Dictate of Karametra it is really useful seen as it also provides a flash constellation combat trick and given that you can bounce it with Riptide Chimera you can theoretically prevent giving your opponent unwanted mana, also I have seen double Dictate of Karametra drops before generating an insane amount of mana to make a huge hydra

I think this deck needs an additional land considering cmc is roughly 3 and you don't have a turn 1 Elvish Mystic I would probably shave 1 Voyaging Satyr for it

Another interesting card to think about is replacing your Sylvan Caryatid for Mana Bloom early game it still provides you with the short term ramp for T3 Polukranos and then becomes a constant 1 drop constellation trigger through out the rest of the match, it is also worth noting controlling the stack on your upkeep to use it as a target for Riptide Chimera to keep him out for cheap

Overall like the brew +1

I really like the idea of Dictate of Karametra to get Polukranos, World Eater even bigger than he's already getting. Makes him even more of a viable win condition. I'm gonna give it a shot in testing! If it doesn't make the main deck, I think it definitely has a place in the sideboard. Now I just need to find a physical copy... lol.

I would love to run Mana Bloom . Pretty much every point you're making about it is true... I'm worried about my creature base though. Taking 3 copies of Sylvan Caryatid out makes my odds of getting creatures into the graveyard that much slimmer.

I'll shave a satyr for a land, I think you're absolutely right in that regard. I was having a hard time hitting my 4 drops in testing, even with a turn 2 Voyaging Satyr or Sylvan Caryatid .

Thanks for your advice :)

Good point forgot about dredging, you definitely need the creatures if you want to keep winning from Strength of the Fallen I am also a big fan of Caryatid for its anti aggro capabilities

Just ran into a very interesting card thought you might wanna take a look at to Fated Intervention

Wow, that might just be a less pricey, cheaper CMC, all around better replacement for Primeval Bounty . If that hits the field and I have Strength from the Fallen in play... That's probably game. At instant speed too! You've found a use for a fated card where it actually makes sense to play it on your own turn! Bravo sir! I can swing and play this as a combat trick! Or make an armada of amazing blockers! Applause

Wow, this can even filter what I'm drawing off Eidolon of Blossoms , can't it? A little unclear on that ruling. Let me know what you think.

Fated Intervention resolves first so as long as it is on your turn you get to scry the 2 before it triggers Eidolon of Blossoms I hadn't thought that far yet liking this card even more now

Being on the barrel end of Primeval Bounty however has lost me many matches I should mention, but it should be rotating shortly WOO

CMC wise Intervention is going to go off more so I think it's a good replacement

I love the combo of Riptide Chimera and Strength from the Fallen because you can just bounce Strength and keep re-triggering it off of itself. However I think you should drop 2 lands from the deck along with Fated Intervention and Cyclonic Rift to add more creatures.

@Sandy: What creatures do you think I should be putting in? I see your deck along with Bob's deck are running Satyr Wayfinder . Should I run these guys just to make sure I'm staying on curve?

I can definitely take out Cyclonic Rift , it wasn't really doing anything in the deck anyhow. I'll try cutting 2 lands and seeing how it goes. I think I'll try replacing these 3 cards with Satyr Wayfinder .

I think Fated Intervention is a lot of fun in this deck, and it has a place. Whenever I'm playing it, it's making two really nice blockers and it triggers constellation twice. Even though it's not a creature, I think the synergy it has with the deck makes it worth keeping 1 copy in.

Thanks for your comments, let me know what you think of the proposed changes.

I just read your comment you made on your deck, I'm thinking maybe you're right. Should I cut some of the dredge cards as well? I see you're running 9. With the new build I just uploaded, I'm running 11. Is this too many? Let me know how your deck works!

You know, I could see this deck working even better as a Black/Blue/Green deck. You could run BUG constellation. Anyways, as it stands I think you should remove the Fated Intervention and 2x Kruphix's Insight for 3 more creatures. Probably something with trample or flying.

You know, 3x Horizon Chimera would be perfect! It has flash, flying, trample, and you gain a life every time you draw a card so it definitely has synergy with Eidolon of Blossoms .

Good point on the chimera. I'll give him a shot!

What are your guy's thoughts on running an extra Eidolon of Blossoms ? I feel like he's more key to this deck than 3x Horizon Chimera . Now I have to trade for more copies D: haha

Replacing Voyaging Satyr with Kiora's Follower . Don't know why I didn't think of this before hand. Will test it. I'm a bit concerned with my blue sources, if I could get my hands on some Breeding Pool s that would help me out considerably I feel.

I like the idea of it and it seem to work nicely!

One thing to be wary of is Back to Nature which can and will probably be your worst nightmare.. Annul could also be bad but not too much of a threat.

Counterspells are probably one of the only things that can get rid of this so Dissolve , Negate , and Swan Song . I'd probably have atleast four of those in your sideboard of any combination.

Other than that things look pretty nice, thanks for the comment on my deck!

Yeah, I may have yelled a little when I found out wizards reprinted Back to Nature , lol. Looking at my sideboard I should probably run a bit more Swan Song if they're gonna turn 3-4 kill all my enchantments. I need more counters in the sideboard, you're absolutely right, and I hadn't realized this.

Thanks! :)

You could add thassa since it also dodges the nature card along with nylea, boon satyr definitely becomes more important for flash maybe run 4, Quickling could also be nice for some salvage or even a cheap constellation re trigger

July 29, 2014 10:47 p.m.

Mojangles says... #18

Yeah, I do like quickling, it's a pretty flexible card. I haven't played with it yet, but I should.

Thassa could very easily find a home in this build, the question is, which creature do I take out for her?

Thanks bob

Nonblack dredge....cool! I'm glad to see a creative, effective build like this! +1

@Jotefin Thanks! I love this deck, it's one of the more unique builds I've made! It's difficult to play at times though, there's a lot to remember... mana floating, creature's power and toughnesses, how many cards to draw, etc. Haha. Despite this, it's still a lot of fun, and is fairly competitive IMO :)

I play green/black dredge and this looks really fun!

I was wondering, have you tried out Chronic Flooding ? Works well with Kiora's Follower . No devotion though, and it doesn't replace itself. But it is an enchantment unlike commune with the gods or kruphix's insight.

Mojangles says... #22

I like the idea of Chronic Flooding ... but commune and insight let me grab stuff before it goes to the grave, which is pretty important IMO. The worst thing is watching Strength from the Fallen get pitched, when it could have been grabbed with either of my dredge sorceries. Sometimes Kruphix's Insight is a bit too costly though, it would be nice to start the dredge sooner, and this would help with that. Also I can keep using this over and over again while the other spells can only get used once and then they're gone. It would be fun to get the extra constellation trigger though. Unfortunately it rotates soon though :( Thanks for your suggestion!
