Deck Thoughts and Ideas on how to play:

This is a budget simic deck that I homebrewed to take third place at my local gamestore. The main strategy for this deck is to go through your deck with multiple ways to draw cards using opt, omen of the sea, mazemind tome, ect. While you're drawing through your deck, you will have Jolreal on the field to be able to give you cat tokens to help deal damage to your opponent as well as a late game finisher with her ability to make your creatures stronger depending on your hand size.

Deck Gameplan:

Since you are drawing a lot of cards, you want to be sure that you have enough mana to cast everything you want to in a turn as well as be able to leave mana open to interact with your opponents board. You have ramp cards with solemn simulacrum, cultivate, and llanowar visionary to help give you more mana for your game plan. With all of this mana and card draw, you can do some big things on your turn with Ugin and Yorion. Ugin is the big finisher of the deck and can help change the game around instantly while Yorion allows you to get more value out of your enchantments and creatures. This deck is able to win against dimir control, but you need to be careful with when and how you use your counter spells to protect your creatures and spells. If you don't let them get their stuff out and you can continue drawing plus getting out your big things, you will win the game.

Sideboard:

The sideboard is made to help beat rogues with glimpse of freedom, soul-guide lantern, essence scatter, and mystical subdual. These cards will help get rid of their creatures so that you'll be able to get to your cards to help beat their deck. Sublime Epiphany should be brought in against control decks since it allows you to counter spells, triggers, draw a card, and much more with it. Wilt can be brought in against decks that use lots of enchantments as well as any deck that uses embercleave. Thwart the Enemy is a card that can easily be replaced with something else if you see fit, but if you're going against a heavy creature deck you can use it to stop damage for one turn to see if you can find an answer for the board.
