A lot of influence for this came from mutology-201 and Everlasting Vorapede.. Since this is my first deck, I wanted to stick to something that I really like and is well-established.

In the early game, Cloudfin Raptor can be evolved very quickly with undying creatures. For example, by Turn 3 I can cast a Strangleroot Geist, bringing Cloudfin up to a 1/2. Then I can kill the Strangleroot with Rapid Hybridization, causing it to return to the board as a 3/2 and bringing Cloudfin up to a 2/3. Then the Rapid Hybridization brings a 3/3 token into play, bringing Cloudfin up to a 3/4. Now I have a 3/2, a 3/3, and a 3/4 with undying all by turn 3!

I'm considering splashing black in this deck to get more use out of the undying creatures. Casting Deadly Allure on Strangleroot Geist to force a block. I could then use Tragic Slip to remove a creature. That's 2 mana for two removed creatures, and of course there's Zameck Guildmage to make me draw and keep Undying relevant. This combo doesn't necessarily rely on Deadly Allure, since I can cast Tragic slip whenever they decide to kill an undying to have a cheap removal.

Is Experiment One or Young Wolf better than Cloudfin Raptor? Is Predator Ooze or Elusive Krasis a better three-drop than Champion of Lambholt? Is Garruk, Primal Hunter worth running for the evolve triggers?

I'm reaching out for help here, so any comments or thoughts on what might improve this deck or even what to throw on the sideboard would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE:

I dropped the 2 Primordial Hydra in favor of 2 Master Biomancer. I also got rid of Ooze Flux and Forced Adaptation for a play set of Rancor. Instead of a playset of Cloudfin Raptor I'm playing a playset of Experiment One. I am also playing a playset of Strangleroot Geist.

AFTERTHOUGHTS:I don't think the Zameck Guildmage/Undying combo is reliable enough. I think I need to shift focus, but I have no idea what. Anyone have any ideas?

Let me know your thoughts and I still need to think of a sideboard to any suggestions are great!

UPDATE:I decided that it would be best to put some spells that emphasize control in this deck. Without those, I have no answer to anything my opponent is doing. So far I have 4x Rapid Hybridization, 3x Simic Charm, 3x Spell Rupture , and 3x Fleeting Distraction . Spell rupture works very well in the early game to slow down aggro and in the late game when my creatures get big to stop more bothersome spells. Fleeting Distraction is a great way to force your creatures to evolve more, a half-decent combat trick, and a way to draw a card all in one. Other spells I am considering are Cyclonic Rift and Unsummon. Let me know what you think in the comments!
