This deck is a mimic merfolk deck looking to exploit +1/+1 counters. fairly fast paced with some counters spells for protection.

In light of some prevalent creatures in the newer sets (Yes Goblin Chainwhirler, I AM LOOKING AT YOU), I decided to go with the +1 counter Strategy to help protect against blowouts thanks to bigger bodies.

Song of Freyalise is an M.V.P in this deck. It helps us play our counter spells and get more folks out of our hand for big alpha swings, while providing pseudo protection in the form of indestructible during its final cycle. It also helps keep land counts down which frees up space for more utility.

Our hail mary cards are Song of Freyalise, Open Into Wonder for mana dumps and hand refills in longer matchups, Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca and Herald of Secret Streams.
