Doing some tests at the moment with Zegana a bit of extra ramp and some Biomancers.Wanted to change it up after only placing second in a local tournament. With a PTQ coming up I want pull higher than second.

Aqueous Form - consistent scry thatcombos amazingly with Bident of Thassa and Bred for the hunt. Also throwing unblockable on Kalonian Hydra/Fathom Mage/Renegade Krasis lets them avoid any death touch enemies.

Bident of Thassa/Bred for the Hunt - aggro style card draw. I run only one Bident because multiple pisses me off. Bred is also cheaper and 9/10 times my attackers all have counters

Cloudfin Raptor - cheap blue flier that grows and gets out of hand fast.

Elusive Krasis - Unblockable evolve dude who evolves most everything else. combos fantastic with Bred and Bident.

Elvish Mystic - mana ramp to get Prophet and Kalonian out faster.

Horizon Chimera - All that card draw makes this guy happy, plus he evolves pretty much everything.

Kalonian Hydra - the bomb of the deck that makes everything else a bomb..

Master Biomancer - still testing with this guy, he's a card I generally like running 4 of or not at all.

Ordeal of Thassa - two drop card draw that adds a counter before resolving.

Prophet of Kruphix - The heart and soul of this deck.Flashing in monsters and untapping land just lets me destroy

Renegade Krasis - evolves everything when it evolves. so much power.

Sylvan Caryatid - hexproof manadork manafixer that evolves many creatures. Speeds up getting to Prophet of Kruphix.

Thassa, God of the Sea - while her devotion isn't the easiest to hit in this deck the scry 1 each turn helps a lot when your mana is clumped. so long as you don't draw into 17 land... yes this has happened and costed me a tournament.

Vorel of the Hull Clade - So much synergy with Prophet of Kruphix. Doubleall the counters.

Sideboard:

Fade into Antiquity - anti Selsenya decks and their sphere of safety.

Mistcutter Hydra - anti blue.

Plummet - anti Desecration Demon/Stormbreath/Nightveil

Simic Charm - anti control

Witchstalker - anti black and anti other simic decks with prophet.

Fathom Mage - Brilliant consistent card draw that evolves easy.

Currently testing the build with Thassa and another Bred for the Hunt.

Went first at FNM tonight. The run down:

Match 1 verse mono black.

First game I got a bit stitched with 5 islands and 1 forest and in my hand 3 Kalonians, a Renegade Krasis in hand. Took me ages to hit an Elvish Mystic for a second green source to watch it die and then got a temple of Mystery. By this time his multiple pack rat copies bashed my face in for the win.

Second game sideboarded in Witchstalkers and Simic Charms. Two Witchstalkers pulled me through for an easy and very quick win.

Third game was a bit harder and I was pretty close to death but managed to get Cloudfin and Kalonian out. With two Simic charms in my hand doom bladed into hexproof twice and I swung for a solid 18 over a tapped down Desecration Demon.

Match Two verse Gruul Devotion

round one I got decimated as my opponent had the perfect hand. He used Domri and Ash Zealot to take down my Simic Manipulator. He then hit Burning Tree Emissary into Nykthos into an overloaded Mizzium Mortars to wipe out my Sylvan Caryatid, my Cloudfin and my Prophet of Kruphix. I hit Kalonian Hydra but it was too little too late as a ridiculous number of creatures swung for my loss

round two sided in Simic Charm. Had a very optimal hand of turn 1 mystic, turn 2 cloudfin sylvan caryatid, turn 3 Prophet into Kalonian, turn 4 Bident and Aqueous form on Kalonian under then Boros Reckoner. His turn 4 used simic charm to bounce back his Boros Reckoner in response to him summoning Morgis and swung for game next round.

Round 3 Again managed to get a pumped up Cloudfin and Kalonian on the board and even though he hit a stormbreath dragon my Cloudfin was bigger and my Kalonian bigger still. Also had a 3/7 Elusive Krasis on board doubling to a 6 toughness to garuntee a win.

Match 3 against black white control.

First match saw my opponent muliiganing down to 5 but hit a thoughtseize into a thought seize to take away my creatures. My opponent detained most my creatures and then when I got him to 1 life he hit Obzedat and keptit on the board rather than flickering to put a very sturdy 5/5 on the field. I then proceeded to draw into land and when I finally hit an Elspeth just before I finally hit another creature to evolve my Elusive Krasis and he swung all out the next turn and I lost by not being able to block the three 1/1s Elspeth made. Never have I lost to a 1/1 before. It felt sad butit was an amazing comeback for an opponent who mulligan to 5.

Second match saw my opponent mulligan again to 6. Again I sideboarded in Simic Charms and Witchstalkers. Witchstalkers shined once more as my opponent was forced to respond to my Prophets before I capitalized off them.Ordeal and Aqueous form on a witchstalker saw me through for hefty unblockable damage and card advantage.

Third match my opponent mulligan yet again to 6. Hi hit three consecutive Soldier of the Pantheon to go aggro at me but a number of big toughness creatures kept me alive before profit gave me pseudo vigilance and I swung and protected with the charm into more swinging.

Hard to tell this game as my friend had some horrendous luck here.

Match 4 verse Esper Control.

Game one I pulled through with a fast paced aggro start and my opponent scooped when my board presence and card draw became too overwhelming.

Round two sideboarded in Simic Charm and Witchstalker once more. This game went back and forth but his real threat was blood baron. with two Elusive Krasis (one a 3/7 and the other a 2/6) I decided to let my 4/4 trade with his blood baron and kill it since he was on 5 life (up to 9 due to lifelink). With that Iseung in my turn for 5 to drop him back to 4. He sphinxed rev for three cards and managed to get two more bloodbane and an azorius charm. his turn with all his mana he used azoriuson my bigger Krasis and then summoned both his blade banes. After the Krasis (which I used to stall as a blocker) I drew into land and lost.

Round three removed the remaining two Elusive Krasis and Aqeous Form for 4 Mistcutter Hydra (which I should have down before the second game). A very tight game seeing me through with once more Kalonian Hydra taking the lead.

So yeah,2-1 every game for first, nobody was having flawless luck tonight it seemed. Witchstalker in the sideboard definitely the best decision ever made.
