In prievious decks I have made with blue green the evolve mechanics and counter manipulation that are hallmarks of the simic guild were shut down by damage spells which removed the crutial early game creatures before they could become large and dangerous. Counterspells took up valuable spots in the deck and generally distracted the deck from it's mission of growing creatures of epic proportion. With insperation taken from another green blue deck on this site i replicated their solution: speed
